Abstract

A data storage device (110, 112) includes storage media (132) having stored thereon data configured as a plurality of objects (124, 126), each object having attributes indicative of characteristics of the object. A control component (150) is operably coupled to the storage media (132) and is configured to provide an interface (128) to the objects (124, 126). The interface exposes methods ( d -N) which are invoked to access the objects (124, 126).
