Abstract

The lamp decoration structure comprises a power supply wire (1) having two parallel conductors, a plurality of power supply sockets (2) connected to the power supply wire (1) at predetermined intervals along the power supply wire (1), a plurality of plugs (3) which are able to be locked into the power supply socket (2) and which contact an electrically exposed portion of the two parallel conductors. Two lamp connecting conductors (30,31) are attached to the plugs (3) and supply electricity from the power supply wire (1) to a series of bulbs (5) having transparent sleeves (6)thus creating a string-by-string lamp decoration structure which is pleasing to see. A wire hanging sleeve (4 figures 3 to 5 not shown) having a T-shaped body is provided to surround the power supply socket (2) and the plug (3).

Description

TITLE Lamp Decoration Structures
DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a kind of improved lamp decoration structure, and specifically, to a kind of lamp decoration structure for decorating string-by-string lamps of a linear type and which are readily mountable.
The lamp decoration structure is a decoration arrangement for households, shops and public installations for beautifying the environment and creating a festival atmosphere. The mounting of current lamp decoration structures is troublesome, time-consuming and inconvenient to maintain.
The lamp decoration structure according to present invention comprises:
a power supply wire having two parallel conductors, portions of which are electrically exposed at a plurality of predetermined intervals along the power supply wire; a plurality of power supply sockets connected to the power supply wire at said predetermined intervals, each of the power supply sockets having a 11+11 type jack with a longitudinal slot aligned with and located between the two parallel conductors, and a transverse slot aligned with the exposed portions of the parallel conductors; a plurality of plugs, one for each of the power supply sockets, each of the plugs having an integrally joined plug body and a flat head portion, the flat head portion further including two plug feet to which are respectively attached two lamp connecting conductors; and a plurality of decoration lamps connected in parallel to the lamp connecting conductors; wherein the f lat head portion of the plua can be inserted into the longitudinal slot of the 11+11 type jack and then locked into the transverse slot by turning such that L-he two plug feet contact the exposed por--icns of the.zwo Parallel conductors.
The advantages of the present invention are: (a) it is possible to realise a linear arrangement of a stringby- string lamp decoration in a neat and pleasing manner; (b) the mounting is convenient, in the present invention the power supply sockets have upper and lower holding lids which lock together and which are very convenient to assemble, similarly, the wire hanging sleeves and the transparent lamp bulb sleeves also have two parts that lock together and which makes mounting them very easy; and (c) it is safe and reliable to use, for instance, the contact locking method of fitting the plugs into the power supply sockets is straightforward and reliable, and the wire hanging sleeves completely surround both the power supply sockets and the plugs making the lamp decoration structure safe to use.
A brief description of the accompanying drawings is as follows:
Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the novel lamp decoration structure of the present invention; Figure 2 is a partial three-dimensional exploded schematic diagram of the lamp decoration structure of the present invention which shows the structural assembly of a power supply wire, power supply wire sockets and plug, and wire hanging sleeves; Figure 3 is another partial three-dimensional exploded schematic diagram of the lamp decoration structure of the present invention, which shows the structural assembly of the lamp bulbs and the transparent lamp bulb sleeves; Figure 4 is an overall schematic diagram showing the power supply wire, power supply sockets ' plugs and wire hanging sleeves along with the lamp bulbs and the transparent bulb sleeves of the present invention; and Figure 5 is an overall schematic diagram of one lamp bulb and transzarent lamn bulb sleeve in connection with another lamr bulb and transzarent lamp bulb sleeve of t-1-_e prese= i-n-ven7--ion.
According to the present invention, a preferred embodiment is given below with reference to Figs. 1 to 5.
Referring to Fig. 1 as shown, the lamp decoration structure of the present invention comprises a power supply wire 1, one end of the power supply wire being provided with a power source plug 10, and on the power supply wire body are provided several power supply sockets 2 (see Fig. 2) connected in parallel. Each power supply socket 2 has a plug 3 (see Fig. 2) to fit with it, and the plug 3 further includes two lamp connecting conductors 30, 31. A wire hanging sleeve 4 integrally surrounds the power supply socket 2 and the plug 3. Electricity from the power source passes through the power source plug 10 of the power supply wire 1, the power supply sockets 2, the plugs 3, the lamp connecting conductors 30, 31, and is supplied to a set of lamp bulbs 5 connected in parallel. Each lamp bulb 5 is surrounded by a transparent lamp bulb sleeve 6. Due to the reliable supporting property of the power supply wire 1 being used, and particularly to a hanging hook 40 provided on the top of the wire hanging sleeve 4 which is able to be hooked on a support (not shown), each string of the lamp decoration structure will form a vertical line with the string-by-string lamp decoration structure hanging in a neat arrangement. This is very pleasing to look at. Because of the combined usage of the wire hanging sleeves 4 and the transparent lamp bulb sleeves 6, the saf ety of the user is f urther ensured. This means that the lamp decoration structure of the present invention is suitable for use either indoors or outdoors, and even on rainy days.
Referring to Fig. 2, as shown, the power supply sockets 2 of the present invention comprise upper and lower wire holding lids 21, 22. The upper wire holding lid 21 is provided in the centre with a 11+11 type jack 211 having a longitudinal and a transverse slot. The corresponding two longitudinal sides of the lower wire holding lid 22 are each provided with a buckle 221 which cooperate with the jack holes 212 to lock the upper and lower wire holding lids 21, 22 together. The two transverse sides of both the upper and lower wire holding lids 21, 22 are each provided with wire holding recesses 213 to allow the power supply wire 1 to pass through the power supply sockets 2.
The power supply wire 1 includes two parallel conductors and in certain places along the power supply wire 1 the power supply wire 1 divides for a short section into two separate power supply wires, a first power supply wire ill and a second power supply wire 112. Each of the first and second power supply wires ill, 112 includes one of the two parallel conductors.
The power supply sockets 2 are each positioned such that the longitudinal slot of the 11+11 type jack 211 lies within the longitudinal space provided between the first and second power supply wires 111, 112. In addition, a portion of each of the first and second power supply wires 111, 112 is electrically exposed. Each of the power supply sockets 2 is positioned along the power supply wire 1 such that the transverse slot of the 11+11 type jack 211 is aligned with the electrically exposed portions of the first and second power supply wires ill, 112.
Again in Fig. 2, the plug 3 comprises an integrally joined plug body 34 and a flat head portion 32. The end of the flat head portion 32 includes two plug feet (not shown) which are designed to contact the two electrically exposed portions of the first and second power supply wires 111, 112 respectively. The thickness of the flat head portion 32 fits the width of the longitudinal slot of the 11+11 type jack 211 of the power supply sockets 2. The plugs 3 are inserted into the longitudinal slot of the I'+" type jack 211 and are locked into the transverse slot by turn ina. The --wc lamp connectina conductors 20, are connected to the two pluc: feet resr)ec-i-Jve--,v and pass z--e '--cz:om end of the --muc: bodv It can also be seen from Fig. 2 that the wire hanging sleeves 4 form a Tshaped body comprising left and right half cassette bodies 41, 42 which can be locked together. When locked together, the left and right cassette bodies enclose a power supply socket sleeve space 43 and a plug sleeve space 44. The power supply socket 2 is receivable within the power supply socket sleeve space 43 and forms the 1111 portion of the T-shaped body, and similarly the plug 3 is receivable within the plug sleeve space 43 and forms the "I" portion of the T-shaped body. A hanging hook 40 is also provided on the top of the wire hanging sleeve 4.
Referring to Fig. 3, the transparent lamp bulb sleeves 6 are of a vertical type, the hollow body therein fo=ing a lantern-shaped space 61 for receiving the lamp bulbs S. From the upper and lower ends of the lamp bulb receiving space 61, and extending upward and downward respectively, are spaces 62, 63 having a tube shape, and in which copper terminal sleeves 64, 65 of the lamp connecting conductors 30, 31 are placed. It can be seen that the transparent lamp bulb sleeves 6 comprise left and right cassette bodies 60, 60, which are tightly fixed together by split cylindrical buckles 66 provided on the upper and lower portions of the transparent lamp bulb sleeves 6 respectively.
Finally, it can be seen from Figs. 4 and 5 that the wire hanging sleeves 4 surround the power supply sockets 2, and the plugs 3, and that from the plugs 3 the lamp connecting conductors 30, 31 pass through the wire hanging sleeves and enter the transparent lamp bulb sleeves 6 to supply electricity to the lamp bulbs S. The two lamp connecting conductors 30, 31 pass through the transparent lamp bulb sleeves 6 in the same mode to supply electricity to the lamp bulbs connected afterward and to thereby form a vertical strina-bv-strina lamD decoration structure.

Claims (12)

  1. CLAIMS A lamp decoration structure comprising: a power supply wire having
    two parallel conductors, portions of which are electrically exposed at a plurality of predetermined intervals along the power supply wire; a plurality of power supply sockets connected to the power supply wire at said predetermined intervals, each of the power supply sockets having a 11+11 type jack with a longitudinal slot aligned with and located between the two parallel conductors, and a transverse slot aligned with the exposed portions of the parallel conductors; a plurality of plugs, one for each of the power supply sockets, each of the plugs having an integrally joined plug body and a flat head portion, the flat head portion further including two plug feet to which are respectively attached two lamp connecting conductors; and a plurality of decoration lamps connected in parallel to the lamp connecting conductors; wherein the f lat head portion of the plug can be inserted into the longitudinal slot of the 11+11 type jack and then locked into the transverse slot by turning such that the two plug feet contact the exposed portions of the two parallel conductors.
  2. 2. A lamp decoration structure according to claim 1, wherein the power supply sockets further comprise upper and lower holding lids.
  3. 3. A lamp decoration structure according to claim 2, wherein the upper holding lid further comprises a jack hole in two longitudinal sides; and wherein the lower holding lid further comprises a buckle on two longitudinal sides, the buckles cooperating with the jack holes to lock the upper and lower holding lids together.

  5. 5. A lamp decoration structure according to any preceding claim, further comprising wire hanging sleeves for enclosing each of the plurality of power supply sockets and associated plugs.
  6. 6. A lamp decoration structure according to claim 5, wherein the wire hanging sleeves have a T-shaped body.
  7. 7. A lamp decoration structure according to claim 6, wherein the wire hanging sleeves further comprise left and right half cassettes which can be locked together to enclose a power supply socket sleeve space and a plug sleeve space; and wherein the power supply socket is receivable within the power supply socket sleeve space and forms the 1111 portion of the T-shaped body, and the plug is receivable within the plug sleeve space and forms the I'll, portion of the T-shaped body.
  8. 8. A lamp decoration structure according to any of claims 5 to 7, wherein the wire hanging sleeves further comprise a hanging hook.
  9. 9. A lamp decoration structure according to any preceding claim, wherein the decoration lamps further comprise a transparent lamp bulb sleeve.
  10. 10. A lamp decoration structure according to claim 9, wherein the transparent lamp sleeves are of a vertical type having a hollow body forming a lantern-shaped space for receiving the lamp bulbs, and from the upper and lower ends of the lantern-shaped space, and extending upward and downward respectively, are spaces having a tube shape, and in which terminal sleeves of the lamp connecting conductors are placed.
  11. 11. A lamp decoration structure according to claim 9 or claim 10, wherein the transparent lamp bulb sleeves comprise left and right cassette bodies.
  12. 12. A lamp decoration structure according to claim 11, wherein the left and right cassette bodies are tightly fixed together by split cylindrical buckles provided on upper and lower portions of the transparent lamp bulb sleeves respectively.
