Abstract

234,378. Reynolds, J. W. Nov. 13, 1924. Lids and covers handles.-A kettle has a filling opening, covered by a lid 2, arranged at the side, away from the spout, the lid being adapted to be opened by the action of a spring- controlled plunger passing through the vertical part of the handle and formed at the lower end into a rack 8 engaging with a toothed quadrant on the lid. A lever or lever-and-link connection mav be substituted for the rack and toothed quadrant.
