Abstract
A pad for fixing to a seat belt may be painted, printed or embossed with logo's to encourage especially children to wear their seat belt. It will also be easily to determine from outside the vehicle that the seat belt is being worn. The pad which may be made from a variety of materials has two flat parts between which the seat belt web is clasped. A cloth cover can be added to the pad to alter its design or colour.
Description
1 2341354 CHILD SAFETY PAD This invention relates to the safety of
children in motor vehicles, especially in the rear compartments.
Children are especially at risk when not useing the safety equipment provided, this invention will incourage them too use the safety equipment because their name's will be printed, painted, stiched, embroided or embosed on cover with additional logo's, also the police will be able too see if passenger's + driver are wearing their belt's at a glance.
This invention will wrap round and hold in place the seat belt rear or front.
This invention provide's safety and comfort for child and passenger it can also be used on any side of seating arrangement.
This invention can be made of wood's - metal's but preferably of plastics - rubber's synthetics - or from a combination of these material's in any colour - plu's any size compatable with belt arrangement's.
A preferred cmbodimont of the invention will now be described with referance to the accompanying drawing's in which FIGURE (1) Shows a front view of child safety pad- FIGURE (2) Is a cross section showing the clasping method of pad the closing section 10 can use a multitude of fixing's too clasp and seal.
FIGURE (3) Show's a rear view of child safety pad.
FIGURE (2) Show's a sealed side (L) wich can be stitched-glued or welded also a cloth cover can be introduced at at later date too alter design and colour.
Claims (6)
1. A child safety pad (sleeve) relates to the safety & comfort of persons adult & child, in motor vehicles boats & planes, with priorety to the rear compartments of motor vehicles where children are most vunerable encouraging the use of safety belts.
2. A child safety pad (sleeve) in claim 1. has a body adapted to flat clasp over the safety belt for ease of placement and removal.
3. A child safety pad (sleeve) in claim 1 or claim 2 has pull tabs left and right and lower for ease of placement and lower for ease of placement and removal for any belt arrangement.
4. A child safety pad (sleeve) as claimed in claim 2 or 3 is constructed of two parts of none slip material to arrest the sliding movement of the safety pad (sleeve).
5. A child safety pad (sleeve) as claimed in any preceding claim is glued, welded or stitched and micro-fastened on the other side, left or right.
6. A child safety pad (sleeve) substantially as described herein with reference to figures 1-3 of the accompanying drawing.
