Description
2339837 Striking plate
The invention relates to a striking plate in accordance with the characterising clause of Patent Claim 1.
Striking plates of this kind are known and consist, for example, of a lengthwise expanded basic body formed from a flat U-profile, on the underside of which a latch casing is held, in the area of a latch aperture, and a bolt casing is held, in the area of a bolt aperture. The fall casing or bolt casing has the task of covering the bolt recess or fall recess in the window frame or rigid f rame of the door, which may be fissured, and thus visually not appropriate. On the front of the baseplate, then, for example, a cover plate is fastened. The latter has at least one aperture which, with a congruent aperture in the baseplate, forms the latch aperture or the bolt aperture. Two eccentrics, for example, are provided in indentations of the cover plate for an adjustment, these eccentrics then being riveted to this cover plate, the baseplate and the bolt casing or fall casing. The cover plate thus covers only part of the baseplate, i.e. in the areas of the latch aperture or the bolt aperture.
Among other things, these known striking plates have the disadvantage that, due to the eccentrics used, the indentations needed for the eccentrics, and also the riveting process required for manufacture, they are relatively expensive.
The objective of the invention is to put forward a striking plate which avoids these disadvantages and which can be manufactured at a reasonable price.
To solve this problem, a striking plate is formed in accordance with Patent Claim 1.
2 The striking plate according to invention takes the form of an inexpensive system, which is very flexible and can be tailored to requirements in application, since the baseplate, the cover plate and the associated casings are each available as separate components, which are connected to one another, in a particularly simple manner, when the striking plate is mounted. This makes it possible to provide for various cover plates while using the same baseplate and to use latch casings and / or bolt casings only where casings of this kind are actually also needed and / or desired.
In addition, the possibility also exists of using various casings, for example casings of various depths and / or made from I various materials, with the same form of baseplate.
In the invention, the individual casing is held clamped between the baseplate and the cover plate, and this, for example, by the tightening of those screws which are in any case necessary for mounting the striking plate on a rigid frame.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a movable antilockout device is provided for on the (at least one) latch aperture which, in a specific position, blocks the latch aperture against any penetration or engagement of the door latch. This anti-latching device is a preform made from plastic, which can be fastened on the latch aperture of the cover plate by pushing it in and engaging it.
Moreover, an additional basic advantage of the striking plate according to invention lies in the fact that the individual casing can be manufactured from plastic, and yet a reliable hold can be provided by fixing it between the baseplate and the cover plate whilst, in the present state of the art, a rivet connection for a casing made from plastic would not be without problems.
The sub-claims cover further developments of the subject of the invention. The invention is described in greater detail below, 3 with reference to specific embodiments and using the diagrams. These show:

A peculiarity of the striking plate, 1, lies in the fact that it is formed in several parts, and indeed consists of the two casings, 4, a baseplate, 5, and a cover plate, 6. These elements are described in greater detail below.
Baseplate, 5 As is shown in Figs. 2-5, the baseplate, 5, manufactured from sheet steel by punching and bending, and quenched and subsequently drawn on the surfaces, is formed as a flat Uprofile. On their narrow sides, the apertures, 9 and 10, are each provided with an S-shaped upward bend, each of which extends, in the embodiment shown, over the entire width of the aperture, 9 or 10, and each of which forms a striptype bearing surface, 11, and this in the plane of the rear or the underside of the plate body, 7. The two apertures, 12, with the associated projections, 13, are, on each narrow side, 711, reciprocally offset parallel to the said narrow side or to the transverse axis, Q, in an axial direction. In addition, two apertures, 14, are provided for in the area of each narrow side, 711, between the indentations there, 13. In relation to the apertures, 12, the projections, 13, and the apertures, 14, which are reciprocally offset in the direction of the longitudinal axis, L, in the area of each narrow side, 711, the baseplate, 5, is formed symmetrically to the longitudinal axis, L, and also symmetrically to the transverse axis, Q.
In the embodiment shown, the apertures, 9 and 10, are also each identical in size and formation, and are equidistant from the axis, Q.

Both apertures, 17 and 18, are again identical in shape and size in the embodiment shown. Claims (19)
1.
