Description

2339760 MOULDED PALLET This invention relates to a moulded pallet.
Pallets are well known and widely used for the carriage of many different goods and materials. The existing pallets are made from pieces of timber nailed--together.
This invention relates to a moulded pallet constructed from chipped wood with -the addition of adhesives and hardener. The mixture would be poLired-into the moulds whilst in liquid form and removed when solid. The moulded pallet is then one solid piece containing no joints or nails.
Various strengths of moulded pallet will be formed by using reinforcing additive-s-in the mixture.
The moulded pallets would have either a smooth finish or a rough finishq each of which would be suitable for use with different types of load.
Examples of the moulded-pallets are shown in the accompanying drawingsin which:- Figures I and 2 show different perspectives of a moulded pallet, in this instance with a solid top.
Figures 3 and 4 show different perspectives of a moulded pallet, in the instance with open spaces (B) in the top and base.
Figure 5 shows a different style of moulded pallet with an open base.
The moulded pallet will be formed in a various sizes and the open spaces in the sides (A) will be of suitable sizes for the forks of forklift vehicles to enter to lift the pallet.

Claims (2)

  1. I A moulded pallet formed from chipped wood with the addition of adhesives and hardener, the mixture having been poured into a mould whilst in liquid form and removed when solid, the moulded pallet is a pallet in one solid piece containing no nails or joints.
  2. 2 A moulded pallet substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
