Abstract
In order to display a voltage level of a battery 18 of a mobile telephone set, a currently available power of the battery and a time required to fully charge the battery in a easily recognizable format for a user of the mobile telephone set with using a minimum number of parts, a CPU 7 reads a battery voltage information from a control LSI 6 during a charging time of the battery 18 by a charging circuit 19 and controls the control LSI 6 to drive a LED luminance regulation circuit 14 such that a green LED 15 and a red LED 16 are lit and different color lights emitted thereby are mixed by passing through a diffusion lens 17 to display a voltage level of the battery 18 during the charging time. Further, by an operation of a ten key/operation key switch 11, the CPU 7 reads the battery voltage information from the control LSI 6, displays the currently available power of the battery 18 on a LCD 35 and controls the control LSI 6 to drive the LED luminance regulation circuit 14 such that the green LED 15 and the red LED 16 are lit to emit color lights corresponding to the currently available power of the battery for a constant time to thereby notify the voltage level of the battery.
