Abstract

A liquid container has a sealing cap 2 secured to it by screw, catch or similar device, blow tube 1 secured to the container by screw, catch or similar device, discharge tube 5, stop tap 6 and pick up tube 4 attached to sealing cap 2. The container is pressurised by blowing by mouth or other method into blow tube 1, this forces the liquid up through pick up tube 4 into discharge tube 5 and out into where ever the liquid is to be discharged. As soon as the liquid is emitted from discharge tube 5 the blowing action can be stopped and the liquid will continue to discharge until the container is empty or the stop tap 6 is shut off.

Description

-I- LOW PRESSURE LIQUID DISCHARGE SYSTEM This invention relates to a low
pressure discharge system.
2337794 The discharging of liquids is usually done in one of two ways, either by a mechanical device e.g. a pump or by physically pouring the liquid, either directly or via a funnel. The first method requires either a power source, or continuous action by the person discharging the liquid. There are many applications where mechanical devices are either banned (discharging of inflammable liquids), or there is no power source available. The second method is long winded and often messy as the control of flow is difficult.
According to the present invention there is provided a low pressure liquid discharge system comprising a liquid container, a sealing cap located on the liquid container, a blow tube sealed in to and running through the container, a pick up tube located to the underside of the sealing cap, reaching down to the bottom of the liquid container and joining through a seated hole in the cap the discharge tube which is placed into what or where ever the liquid is to be discharged, attached between the sealing cap and the discharge tube is a stop tap or ball valve.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which:- Figure 1 shows in perspective the entire discharge system; Figure 2 shows a plan view of scaling cap with location of the discharge pipe.
Figure 3 shows a section of the sealing cap with the location of the pick up and discharge pipes; Referring to the drawing the discharge system comprises a liquid container 3 fastened to the container is a sealing cap 2 secured by screw, catch or similar device. Discharge tube 5 and stop tap 6 are located on the top of sealing cap 2, secured by screw, catch or similar device with a hole through the scaling cap 2. Pick up tube 4 is located under the sealing cap 2 and is located by screw, catch or similar device- Blow tube 1 is located by screw, catch or similar device to a hole through the container.
In order to discharge liquids the container 3 with blow tube 1 already attached, is filled with liquid and scaling cap 2 with discharge tube 5, stop'tap 6 and pick up tube 4 already attached, is secured to liquid container 3 as shown in rig 1. The container is pressurised by blowing by mouth or other method into blow tube 1. This forces the liquid up through pick up tube 4, through stop tap 6 into discharge tube 5 and therefore out into where ever the liquid is to be discharged. As soon as the liquid starts to flow from the discharge tube 5 the blowing action can be stopped and the liquid will continue to discharge until empty or until stop tap 6 is shut off.
The above discharge system can also be used to remove liquids from vessels etc. into the low pressure discharge system's liquid container 3 by placing the container 3 which must be empty, lower that the vessel liquid is to be removed from. The discharge tube 5 is placed inside the vessel etc. and suction is applied to the blow 1 until the liquid starts to flow out of pick up tube 4 and into the container.
Fig 2 and 3 show the location discharge tube 5 and pick up tube 4, on to scaling cap 3.

Claims (4)

1 A Low Pressure Liquid Discharge System comprising of a liquid container, a scaling cap secured to the container, a blow tube located through the container, discharge tube and stop tap located on scaling cap and pick up tube located under sealing cap.
2 A Low Pressure Liquid Discharge System as claimed in Claim 1 wherein pressure is exerted on the liquid in the container by blowing down the blow tube by mouth or other means.
3 A Low Pressure Liquid Discharge System as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 wherein the liquid is pushed up the pick up tube by the exerted pressure.
4 A Low Pressure Liquid Discharge System as claimed in Claim 2 or Claim 3 wherein the liquid is pushed up the discharge tube and out into where ever the liquid is to be discharged.
A Low Pressure Liquid Discharge System as claimed in any proceeding claim, wherein on emission of liquid from the discharge tube, the pressure into the blow tube can be stopped. The liquid will discharge until the container is empty or the stop tap is shut off.
