Abstract
A pair of socks or stockings has cushioned areas around the toe area 10 and heel area 11 to relieve friction and pressure on these areas, and also to reduce the pain which may result from such problems as corns, calluses, cramp and bunions.
Description
1 1---1 2337446 CUSHIONED SOCKS AND STOCKINGS This invention relates to a
cushioned socks and stockings which are capable of relieving pressure, friction and pain caused on the toe and heel by the shoe rubbing too hard on the skin.
Foot problems such as corn, calluses, bunion, heel pain, cramp, foot ache and fatigue affect a lot of men and women. Caused by the skin of the foot rubbing too hard on the shoe and a poor function of the foot, it hardens and thickens the affected area of the skin and causes unnecessary pain and inconvenience to the sufferer whenever they wear a pair of shoe. Even Chiropodist and Podiatrist associate these foot problems to more severe postural problems and also back problem, hip, knee and heel pain.
Plaster and corn remover have often been used to relieve pain and friction, but are apt to be easily loosened by water when the wearer is bathing or worn over a longer period of time. They are also not cost efFective, considering how many plaster and corn remover would be used from time to time, a resultant loss to the wearer.
This invention has been devised to save cost, reduce wastage form loosed plaster and cushion, by providing a hygienic alternative, without compromising comflart and convenience to the wearer. A cushioned socks and stockings can relieve the pressure, friction and pain caused by the shoe rubbing too hard on the toe and heel and make wearing a pair of shoe a more comfortable experience for men and women suffering from corn, calluses and other foot problems.
The present invention provides a pair of socks and stockings with a cushion around the toe and heel area as a means to relieving pressure and friction of the shoe rubbing on the toe and heel which causes pain and inconvenience to the wearer.
Another object of this invention is to protect the calcaneus (heel bone) with a cushion placed around the heel as means to protect the heel when the wearer is walking or jogging.
2 A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing for better understanding in which: - Figure 1 is a diagrammatic cross sectional view of the cushioned sock or stocking.
Figure 2 shows the rear and cross sectional view of the cushioned sock or stocking.
With reference to drawings of the sock or stocking comprising cushion around the toe area 10 to protect and relieve friction, pressure and pain on the toe, and cushion around the heel area 11 to protect and relieve ffiction, pressure, and pain on the heel.
