Abstract

An electronic timing device is inserted inside one or more of the following: A) An electrical wall plug socket, B) An electrical wall light switch, A) An electrical wall plug, A) An electrical ceiling rose, A) An electrical wall plug adaptor, whereby these components can be controlled by means of a remote controller. Preferably the remote controller is optical and can perform functions such as on/off, override, and program 'date and time' information. Additionally, an extra wire may inserted inside an electrical cable, allowing the electronic eye that senses the signal from the remote controller to be fitted to any electrical product.

This idea comprises of lnsertin(y an extra wire Inside the cable and secured to electronic eye on plug thus making the electronic eye any length which can the be fitted to any electrical product.

1 W 0 Systern Conset Suggested system consists of a switch which directly plugs into mains socket on the wall. An electrical appliance will be connected into a mains socket provided on the switch or alternatively hardwired into the switch plug. The remote control keypad will provide "date and time". The switch can be programmed usin(y the remote control keypad to select on and off operation of the appliance.

Different functions can be provided usina the same remote control including on, off and overide.

Another alternative is to insert a sensor inside an electrical appliance such as a video, computer or television which can relay message to electronic wall plu. telling it to close down power or C) resume power.

Claims

Claims:

1) Inserting an electronic timing device within the casing of one or more of the following:

A) An electrical wall plug Socket B) An electrical wall light switch C) An electrical wall plug D) An electrical ceiling rose E) An electrical wall plug adaptor whereby these components can be controlled by a remote control unit.

2) As in claim 1, the remote control unit providing different functions, including on, off, and override commands and providing "date & time" data for the timing device.

3) As in any preceding claim, an electronic eye being inserted inside an electrical appliance, such as a video, computer or television, said electronic eye relaying messages from the remote control unit to the timing device.

4) As in claim 1 or 2, where there is an electronic eye attached to the electrical wall plug, an electrical wire running from the electronic eye and down the conventional power cable to the plug, thereby allowing the electronic eye to be fitted to any electrical product.
