Abstract

In an array of disposable, plastic cells, each cell contains sterilising solution and is covered with a sealing membrane which is ruptured by insertion of a toothbrush head. The one-use cells may be contained in a free standing, rectangular container or framework, and may be arranged, and disposed of, in blocks.

Description

cl, r TOOTHBRUSH CONTAINER 2335352 It is a well known fact that bacterial
is present in most household situations. One of the main areas is in the bathroom, especially around the washbasin and in particular on toothbrushes.
This invention is designed to combat this bacteria, promote a healthier lifestyle and be of great benefit in areas where hygiene is of paramount importance.
Our invention would significantly reduce bacteria present on toothbrushes; prevent cross-contamination and limit the growth of bacteria.
This invention provides for a free standing, disposable container for toothbrushes. Immersing each individual toothbrush in a new sterilizing solution every day. It consists of a series of plastic cells, each covered with a membrane and containing an anti-bacterial fluid. One cell for each toothbrush to be used each day. These cells would resemble an ice cube tray and could be stacked vertically. These cells could all be contained within a free standing permanent container made of ceramic, stainless steel or plastic. The cell units can be of any size to fit any toothbruush e.g. electric toothbrush heads, children's toothbrushes or denture cleaning brushes.
A preferred size of contained would be such-that it would fit on a standard bathroom shelf, but it could be made to any size.
Figure 1 shows the freestanding container Figure 2 shows a top view of a series of cells within the container Figure 3 shows an individual cell Figure 4 shows 6 individual cells stacked together 1

Claims (2)

1. A free standing hollow rectangular framework within which are placed sealed cells of antibacterial liquid, each cell having a thin membrane covering the top which will be pierced by a toothbrush.
2. A free standing hollow framework as claimed in Claim 1.The cells within the framework are arranged in blocks and when each cell has been used the block can be removed and replaced with another
