Abstract
In a two-seater motor vehicle with various electrical components, at least one component 3, 4 is arranged in the vehicle interior in the region behind the vehicle seats or between the vehicle seat backrests. The components may be a CD changer or a transmitting/receiving/processing unit.
Description
Two-seater motor vehicle with various electrical components
The present invention relates to a two-seater motor vehicle with various electrical components.
The arrangement of electrical components in a motor vehicle increasingly causes difficulties because the quantity of equipment has sharply risen and in many cases equipment requires the use of up-to-date electrical control devices. Arranging them in the engine compartment is virtually impossible and moreover is comparatively complex and expensive because of the protection which is required against environmental conditions, such as relatively sharp temperature fluctuations, and also the accumulation of dirt. Arranging them in the boot is at the expense of the useable space in the boot and frequently makes increased amounts of cabling necessary because of the distance to the cockpit. It is furthermore known to arrange electrical components in the motor-vehicle interior in the region of the dashboard or of the centre console.
This reduces the interior space which can be used.
It is already known to provide loudspeakers in the interior of motor vehicles, which loudspeakers are mounted behind the vehicle seats, for example, on a rear-window shelf. In connection with two-seater vehicles, it is known from
DE 296 20 037 U1 to provide a storage box with loud speakers of an audio system being integrated in its external surface. This provides an option for arranging the loud speakers, which are in any case situated in the passenger compartment, also in the passenger compartment of a two-seater vehicle.
It is furthermore known from DE 9116 602 U1 to integrate a CD changer in an armrest. This provides an option of saving space in the boot, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, of keeping the CD changer accessible to the vehicle occupants during the journey so that, for example, changing of CDs is possible.
The present invention seeks to optimize the arrangement of electrical components in a motor vehicle.
According to the present invention there is provided a two-seater motor vehicle with various electrical components, wherein at least one of the components consists of a transmitting and/or receiving unit which is arranged in the vehicle interior in the region behind the vehicle seats or between the vehicle seat backrests.
In this case, it has proven advantageous that this component is customarily of flat design and in the case of the installation in accordance with the invention extends transversely to the direction of travel. Signals which are transmitted, for example, by road signs, can be optimally intercepted by the receiving unit having a sheet-like extent transversely to the direction of travel.
This furthermore has the advantageous result that this electrical component is not exposed to the unfavourable environmental conditions, as is the case, for example, when it is arranged in the motor-vehicle engine compartment.
Furthermore, space which is possibly required by the motor-vehicle user is not lost, as is the case, for example, when the electrical component is arranged in the boot. In addition, in the event of the vehicle crashing, the electrical components are to a large extent optimally protected since the electrical components are not arranged in the deformation zone.
In a preferred embodiment, the at least one component consists of a unit which processes signals arriving from outside the vehicle and/or transmits signals.
This can, for example, advantageously be a device which automatically issues an emergency call in the event of the vehicle having an accident which is recognized by the device. Since this device is arranged behind the vehicle seats - advantageously in the region between the two vehicle seats - this device is situated at a location which to a large extent is safe, even in the event of an accident, with the result that the transmitting of the emergency call is ensured to the greatest possible extent.
In a further embodiment, at least one further component is arranged in the vehicle interior in the region behind the vehicle seats or between the vehicle seat backrests, this component being a CD changer.
In this case, it has proven advantageous that the CDs in the CD changer are also changeable by a passenger during the journey because the CD changer is accessible in the vehicle interior. Compared to the known arrangement of CD changers in the boot it has proven advantageous that space in the boot for the CD changer is not required. This has proven advantageous particularly in the case of a two-seater vehicle because the boot space is frequently restricted in any case. This applies in particular to two-seater cabriolets in which the opened roof or folding top additionally takes up part of the boot.
An embodiment of the invention is now described and illustrated in the drawing, in which:
Fig. 1: shows a two-seater vehicle in a side view, and
Fig. 2: shows a two-seater vehicle in a plan view.
Figure 1 shows a two-seater vehicle 1 in a side view. Electrical components of the vehicle 1 are arranged behind the vehicle seats 2. In the embodiment shown, these electrical components are a CD changer 3 and also a transmitting, receiving and processing unit 4 for signals which are to be transmitted by the vehicle 1 or which are to be received by the vehicle 1.
As far as the CD changer 3 is concerned, it has proven advantageous that this does not take up any space in the boot. In addition, it is possible for the passenger also to be able to change the CDs in the CD changer during the journey.
As far as the unit 4 is concerned, it has proven advantageous that signals which are transmitted, for example, by road signs, can be received particularly well since the unit 4 essentially extends transversely to the Iongitudinal direction of the vehicle. If it is arranged in the region between the vehicle seats 2, as is shown in
Figure 2, it has furthermore proven advantageous that this region is particularly well protected in the event of an accident. This is particularly advantageous if an emergency call is to be issued by the unit in the event of the vehicle 1 having a recognized accident. The arrangement in accordance with the invention also gives great security that the unit will function in the event of an accident.
When the electrical components are installed in accordance with the invention, it furthermore turns out that the laying of the cables is simple since the cables from the electrical components are guided perpendicularly downwards to the tunnel.
