Cylinders, cooling.- For measuring the temperature of the cylinder of an air-cooled engine, a thermometer 2 is mounted in a hollow space within a heatconducting casing 1 which has a lug &c. 6 adapted to be clamped on the sparking-plug flange or on some other flange on the cylinder. The thermometer may be of the distant-indication type.
