Abstract

Dispensing liquids.-A container 1 for beverages is formed with a slidable piston 2 forming a cup 3, the pistons 2 being fitted with a spring- pressed non-return valve 4 secured in position by a perforated cap 5. A perforated hollow protuberance 8 formed on the piston, covers the valveopening 7, and is formed with a screwed opening 10 to receive an operating valve-rod 11, normally held in a lug 12 on the container side. The container bottom 17 is formed with a well 13 to receive the valve-housing 15, the valve stem 16 fitting an extension 14 in the well. A lip 18 on the container forms an upper stop for the piston 2. To fill the container with liquid, the rod 11 inserted in the hole 10 opens the valve 4; the piston is pushed to the container bottom and liquid poured in through the cup as the piston is raised. For drinking, the operation is reversed. To wash the container, the valve is opened and the piston used as a syringe.
