Abstract

A hand-held vacuum device for collecting animal faeces by suction comprises a casing of two separable parts, a carrying handle, a space to accommodate a disposable bag to receive matter collected and a removable rubber inlet nozzle. The upper part of the casing holds a rechargeable motor for the vacuum means, and has a rubber seal to seal against the lower part when attached thereto by clips. The lower part houses the bag and has the nozzle fitted over its mouth, that part and the nozzle being washable. The nozzle is intended to be pressed sealingly against the ground to enhance the suction obtained when collecting faeces.
