Abstract

232,502. H÷lken, M. Oct. 2, 1924. Portable furnaces.-Green fodder is preserved by passing hot gases through it from a furnace. The furnace, together with a pump-filter, &c., may be mounted on a vehicle 16, Fig. 2. An electric or other motor 21 drives the pump 19 that draws gases from the furnace 18 through a filter 33. The furnace consists of a central grate 23, Fig. 4, from which a passage 30 leads to an annular space 28, at one side of a radial partition, from the other side of which a tangential pipe 31 leads to the pump.
