Abstract
232,208. Soc. Anon. Carrosserie Kelsch. April 10, 1924, [Convention date]. Hoods.-In hoods for road vehicles, the frame of the hoop sticks 2 is pivoted on a single axis 3 movable in a direction longitudinally of the car in such a manner that the hoops sticks when folded and superposed can be inserted into or disengaged from a recess in the rear of the car by said movement. As shown in Fig. 1, the axis 3 is mounted on a lever 4 which is moved clockwise to withdraw the folded hood from the recess and locked to a locking piece 9 while the hood is unfolded. In another form, the lever 4, Fig. 3, is first rocked clockwise to withdraw the folded hood and then rocked to its initial position against the locking piece 9 after the hood has been unfolded. In a modification, the axis 3 may be arranged to slide instead of being carried by the lever 4.
