Abstract

The a lawn weeder comprises a vertical tube with a "tee" handle attached to the top and a cutting edge with an automatic core ejection design at the bottom. Above the cutting edge is a split and expanded mouth leading to a depressed flute. This firstly traps the core then allows a smooth passage out on subsequent use automatically every time without blocking.

Description

LAWN WEEDER The lawn weeder consists of a vertical tube with a "tee" handle attached to the top.
(see fig 1 page 4).
The tip of the weeder has a cutting edge at the bottom, above which is a split and expanded mouth leading to a reducing depressed flute (see fig 2 page 4) In operation the weeder is inserted into the centre of the weed vertically (see fig 3 A page 4) The weeder is then removed without rotation, and the core is retained within the tip of the tool (see fig 3B page 4) On subsequent operation the previously cut core is automatically removed by the newly cut core (see fig 3C page4) and does so every time the weeder is used.

Claims (1)

  1. CLAIM
    A lawn weeder comprising of a vertical tube with a "tee" handle attached to the top and a cutting edge at the bottom.
    Above the cutting edge is a split and expanded mouth leading to a reducing depressed flute.
    The first cut core is removed and stored in the tip of the tool , retained because it has been allowed to expand by the widening mouth of the tool.
    The first cut core stored in the mouth of the weeder is then automatically forced out of the mouth smoothly via the reducing depressed flute .The core's are automatically ejected every time the weeder is used in one action without blocking.
