Abstract
Two additional sunshades 3 for an infants pushchair 1 attach to a conventional canopy 2. The sunshades 3 may be folded when not in use and secured to the pushchair body 5. The shades may be attached to the canopy by stitching or other means, such as hook and loop material.
Description
ADDITIONAL SUNSHADES FOR MFANT'S PUSHCHAIR
This invention relates to two additional sunshade/canopies for an infant's puchshair.
Sunshades are widely available for sale with manufacturer's pushchairs, in the form of a roof canopy or parasol. The roof top canopy fails to screen the infant from sun directed from the sides. A parasol has its range limited by its small size and limited flexibility.
According to the present invention there are provided two additional sun shades attached to the conventional roof canopy shade already available for pushchairs. These two additional shades screen out all direct sunlight except for directly ahead. The additional shades may be folded away when not in use.
They are secured by ties or other means to the body of the pushchair.
The invention will now be described by way of example with reference to
Figure 1 in which:
Figure 1 shows how two additional sunshades 3 can be used to screen out sunlight from the sides of the infant's pushchair 1.
Referring to Figure 1 the additional two screens 3 may be secured 5 to the body of the pushchair 1 to prevent them being displaced.
On both sides, they are attached to the main roof canopy 2 by way of stitching or velcro fastening or other means 4 and drop down to the base of the pushchair seat, thus allowing no sunlight to reach the infant. The shades are long enough to match the pushchair's roof canopy 2 from rear to front.
Claims (5)
1. Two additional sunshades/canopies attached to the conventional roof
canopy shade already available for infant's pushchairs. These additional
shades screen out all direct sunlight other than from directly ahead. The
shades may be folded away when not in use. They may be secured to
the body of the pushchair to prevent them being displaced.
2. Two additional sub shade as claimed in claim 1 which are attached to
both sides of the canopy roof by way of stitching, velcro or other
means.
3. Two additional sun shades as claimed in claim 1 and claim 2 which drop
down to the base of the pushchair seat, thus blocking sunlight from the
infant.
4. Two additional sunshades as claimed in claim 1 and claim 2 and claim 3
which are long enough to match the original roof canopy from front to
rear.
5. Two additional sunshades substantially as described herein with
reference to Figure 1 of the accompanying drawing.
