Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for selective distribution of small sized advertising cards where the cards are releasably affixed to a suitable surface by means of affixing means attached to one side of the advertising card. The cards may be affixed by means of a magnet which is an integral part of the card. Alternatively, an affixing means in the form of hook and loop fastening strips, may be used.

Description

Method for selective distribution of advertising cards and cards for use in this method.
The present invention relates to a method for selective distribution of advertising cards or other types of cards, preferably cards having a size typical of credit cards or personal cards The invention further relates to a card for use in the method.
Distribution of advertising cards and small sized broclitiies are normally done by placing the advertising cards in piles in racks, on counters or the like This way of distribution is vety little selective and diffucult to keep up to date. In addition advertising cards distributed in this way are available to the persons who one wants to reach, only in short lime intervals. It therefore exists a need tor a better and more selective distribution of which advertising cards directed to groups of people who are the object for the advertising By the present invention il has been found a simple and effective method for selective distribution of advertising cards which makes it possible to place the advertising cards in which a way that availability and the time of exposure to people who are object for the advertising are substantially increased.
Thus. in a first aspect the present invention relates to a niethod for selective distribution of small sized advertising cards, which method is characterized in that the cards are releasably affixed to a suitable surface by means of affiixing means attached to one side of the advertising card According to a tirst preferred embodiment, the cards are affixed to a metal surface by means of at least one magnet affixed to one side of the card or which íornls an integral part of the card.
According to a second preferred embodimenl of the method according to the present invention, the cards are affixed to a suitable surface by means of affixing means comprising hook and loop fastening strips, where a first strip is affixed to one side of the card aiid where a second strip is affixed to the surface lo which the card is to he affixed In another aspect the present invention relates to a card for use in the method of the present invention, which card is characterized in that it on one of its sides bas means for releasable affixing the card to a surface.
The means for releasably affixing the card to the surface compreses according to one embodiment, at least one magnet affixed to one side of the card or which forms an @@tegral part of the card In a second embodiment the means for affixing the card comprises hoob and loop fastening st@@ps, where one strip is affixed to one side of the card and where one stap is affixed to the suface to which the card is to be releasably affixed By the present invention one can in a very simple way provide selective distribution of advertising cards, by simply affixing tlie cards in places where it can be expected that interested persons will be present. At the same time it is siniple for iiitcrested persons to pick and bring with them the cards.
The method and cards according to the present invention is suitable for use in a number of places. Thus the rnethod and tile cards are especially suitable for use ill trains, busses, taxies and aeroplancs where cards call be placed on the backside of passenger scats or the like where the cards will be exposed to passantlers for relative long periods of time and where it is easy for interested persons to briiig with them the cards.
The method according to the present invention further has the advantage that the cards can be distributed very fas. 13y the use of the cards in busses one can for instance dispaly advertising cards on different times during the day especially directed towards groups of passangers which according to experience are using buss transport on ccrtain times of the day

Claims (6)

  1. Claims: 1. Method for selective distribution of small sizcd advertising cards, c h a r a c t c r i i c d in that the cards are releasably affixed to a suitable surface by means of affiixing means attached, to one side of the advertising cards.
  2. 2. Method according to claim I, c h a r a c t c r i z c d in that the cards are affixed to a metal surface by means of at least one magnet affixed to one side of the cards or which forms an integral part of the cards.
  3. 3. Method according to claim 1, c h a r a c t c r i z e d in that the cards are affixed to a suitable surface by means of affixing means comprising hook and loop fastening strips, where a first strip is affixed to one side of the card and where a second strip is affixed to the surface to which the card is to be affixed.
  4. 4. Card for use in the metllod according to claim 1-3, c h a r a c t e r i z ed in that in that the card on one of its sides has means for releasably affixing the card to a surface
  5. 5. Card according to claim 4. c h a r a c t c r i z e d in that the means tor releasably affixing the card to the surface comprises at least one magnet affixed to one side of the card or which forms an integral part of the card.
  6. 6. Card according to claim 4, c h a r a c t c r i z e d in that the means for affixing the card comprises hook and loop fastening strips, where one strip is affixed to one side of tloc card aid where one strip is affixed to the suface to which the card is to be releasably affixed
