Abstract

A cordless electric vacum cleaner permits access into awkard areas where power contacts required for power cables does not exist. The cleaner has a rechargeable battery which drives a DC motor 2.

Description

CORDLESS ELECTRIC VACUM CLEANER.
This invention relates to a cordless electric vacum cleaner Standard electric vacum cleaners are well known. However there safty and effectivaesss are restricted by the necessity of power supply transmitted by means of an electric cable between power scource and electric vacum cleaner.
According to the present invention there are no electric cables incorporated for transmission from 240 volts mains supply.
Energy for the cordless electric vacum cleaner is derived from X.R. rechargeable batteries.
This necessitates a motor of direct consumption current as apposed to the existing alternating consumption current provided by present electric vacum cleaners.
A specific embodyment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows in perspective the cordless electric vacum cleaner.
Figure 2 illustrates the X.R. rechargeable batteries.
Figure 3 illustrates the battery charger.
Figure 4 illustrates the Brittish Standard domestic power socket.
Figure 5 illustrates the battery charger in position adjacant to the power socket.
Refering to the drawing in order to produce a cordless electric vacum cleaner the A.C motor 1 has to be replaced by a D.C.motor 2 which is powered by X.R battery 4.
The adaption of an D.C motor requires X.R.batteries as illustratedin figure 2 containing 14 4. to 28 8 volts to transmit the required power for domistic or commercial industrial models.
The above X.R.bateries require recharging from a specified battery charger as illustrated in figure 3.
The battery charger is housed close to power plug figure 4.
The wall mounting unit is affixed and incorporated within the existing 240 volts. British Standard Installation as in figures 5.

Claims (3)

  1. CLAIMS.
A Cordless electric vacum cleaner as claimed in Claim 1.
requires no electric cable for power transmission and is powered by direct current.
The above as claimed in Claim 1. is energised by an X.R. rechargeable 14 4. to 28 8. volt batteries as illustrated in Fire
  2. 2.
X.R. rechargeable batteries are recharged as required from the battery charger as in Figure
  3. 3.
Safety both in domistic and industrial use is attained by the removal of dangerous electric cable from vacum cleaners to power scource.
