Abstract
A Portable Microshower has a portable body 10, and shown in figure 1, internal to which is a compressible bladder. The purpose of the Microshower is to maintain personal hygiene when at work, holidaying or where there is no access to a fixed static shower. The bladder is filled by means of an inlet 11, and emptied by connection to a spray or shower tube 12, the tube is extendable or retractable by means of a rotating device. A pressure force is provided within the portable body on the bladder. This produces spray or shower action at the tube end on engagement of the on/off device 13.
Description
PORTABLE MICROSHOWER This invention relates to a Portable Microshower.
Shower systems are well known and widely used. They comprise of a shower head fed by a fixed tan3 of water or a fixed supply of water, either of which are not readily or practically transportable outwith fixed premises.
Shower systems are static units restricted to an area within which the supply tubing incorporating the shower head may be extended. Moreover they require to be available as a facility and the attendance of a person to the facility.
According to the present invention there is provided a portable microshower comprising a portable body. A compressible bladder, a means of compressing the bladder. A spray tube with means of releasably securing to the portable body, and activating and deactivating mechanism.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which:
FIGURE 1 shows in perspective the Portable Microshower with the- spray tube.
FIGURE 2 illustrates the compressible bladder.
FIGURE 3 illustrates the spray tube and the Microshower internal flexible tube and connector.
Referring to the drawing the Portable Microshower comprises a portable body with lid 10, a shower or spray tube with a flexible section and a connector 12, a compressible container 14, in the form of a bladder with means of filling and sealing 11, and a means of connection 16, for example a plastic male connector, an activating and deactivating mechanism 13. a force or source of power to produce a rising head of water, for example electrical, mechanical, pneumatic or other means.
An example of a drive force is a battery operated direct current motor mounted on the back of a plate. The front of the plate forms the compression on the bladder. The plate is situated between a guide rail on the lid and a linear drive track on the base of the Microshower body. Forward motion is by activating mechanism 13, which enables the direct current motor gear drive along the linear track. Reverse motion is by opening the Microshower lid. This lifts the compression plate with the direct current motor gear drive clear of the linear gear drive track. The plate is then reversed manually back along the lid glide rail in order to operate the portable
Microshower. The means of securing the lid are released. The filled bladder 14, is held and the seal 11, is released. The temperature of the bladder is determined by storage facilities of the bladder prior to use. The bladder is connected to the internal spray or shower tube connector, as shown in figure ..
The lid of the
Microshower is closed. The spray or shower tube 12, which is releasably secured to the body recess is by means of a rotatinq device 15. extended as illustrated in figure 1.
Generation of water spray or shower action is by means of an activating and deactivating device 13. as shown in figure 1 and figure 3, which releases liquid flow and enables the drive mechanism, acting by compression, or similar means on the bladder.
The flow rate of the Microshower is determined by the drive force, the diameter of the spray or shower tube, and the range and number of the aperture holes in the spray or shower tube.
Claims (1)
