Abstract

A packing case for a lighter set comprises (a) a front cover (10) of transparent plastic, having a lighter cavity (12) for accommodating a lighter (2) and a refill-gas cavity (13) for accommodating a refill gas (3), and a plurality of protrusions (14); (b) a rear cover (20) of transparent plastic, having a cavity (22) for accommodating an operating manual (4) and a plurality of recesses (23) for engaging the protrusions (14); and (c) a bottom part (30) hinged to the bottom edges of the rear cover (20) and the front cover (10).

Description

A PACKING CASE FOR A LIGHTER SET The present invention relates generally to a packing case for a lighter set and more especially to a case for packing a lighter, a refill gas, an operating manual and a leaflet into a set for displaying and selling them in package.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Generally a packing case for a lighter consists of a internal case made of polystyrene foam which has a cavity for a lighter and a external box made of iron or plastic material which is covered with fine texture to advertise and protect a lighter from damages.
Heretofore the packing case for a lighter has long been used and produced for an expensive refill-type lighter.
The case can be decorated with various patterned texture and the lighter with this case is regarded as a high-grade product.
But heretofore the packing case for a lighter set typically entails certain disadvantages.
First, the cost of producing the packing case for a lighter is higher because it may need iron or plastic and textile as material and many processes in manufacturing it.
Second, to display a lighter in a department store or shop et al., the case should be discarded or the lid of the case should be opened and something to support the case is needed.
Third, the used case can not be easily recycled and the cost on the discarding the case is higher because of the large volume and heavy weight of it.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Therefore, it is a principal object of the present invention to provide a packing case for a lighter set which is transparent and convenient to place vertically on the board of display at shop or department store et al., so that the packing case for a lighter set promotes advertising effects of displaying.
Another object of this invention is to provide a case for packing lighter set which can pack a lighter, a refill gas, a operating manual and a leaflet altogether so as to provide convenience in selling and buying a lighter set.
Further object of this invention is to provide a case for packing a lighter set which is easy to discard and makes a little trash.
In this invention, a packing case for a lighter set includes a front and a rear cover which are connected to a bottom part therebetween, and the front cover has a cavity for a lighter and a cavity for a refill gas on the inner surface thereof and the rear cover has a cavity for an operating manual on the inner surface thereof and the bottom part has an rectangularly shaped bottom rim to place the case vertically.
And the inner surface of front cover has a plurality of protrusions which are formed on margin thereof, and the inner surface of rear cover has a plurality of recesses which are formed to the position corresponding to said protrusions to contact securely the front cover to rear cover.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing the half-opened case.
FIG. 3 is a longitudinal cross sectional view when the case is closed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Referring now to the drawing in great detail.
As shown by Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, a packing case(1) for a lighter set of this invention includes a front cover(10) and a rear cover(20) which are connected to a bottom part(30) therebetween. The front cover(10) has a lighter cavity(12) for accommodating a lighter(2) therein and a refill-gas cavity (13) for accommodating a refill gas(3) therein on the inner surface(11) thereof. The rear cover(20) has an operating-manual cavity(22) for accommodating an operating manual(4) therein on the inner surface(21) thereof. The bottom part(30) is hingedly attached to the bottom edges of the rear cover(20) and the front cover(10) in such a manner that the inner surface(11) of the front cover(10) can be securely contacted to the inner surface(21) of rear cover(20).
And as shown by Fig, the inner surface(11) of front cover(10) has a plurality of protrusions(14) which are formed on margin thereof, and the inner surface(21) of rear cover(20) has a plurality of recesses(23) which are formed to the position corresponding to said protrusions(14).
The case(1) is preferably molded of a plastic material and in particular of material which is capable of being hinges formed therefrom.
And as shown by Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, the front cover(10) can be securely contacted to the rear cover(20) by fastening the protrusions(14) of the front cover(10) to recesses(20) of the rear cover(20).
As shown by Fig. 3, the bottom part(30) which is A -shaped in cross section and consists of two inclined surfaces(32)(33) which come to contact with the bottom surfaces(15)(24) of front cover and rear cover respectively when the front cover(10) and rear cover(20) are contacted and the bottom edge(34) of bottom part has a rectangular form and forms a imaginary planar bottom surface to place the case vertically.
And when the front cover(10) and rear cover(20) are contacted, the width(W1) of bottom part(30) is wider than the top width(W2) between the front cover(10) and rear cover(20) A packing case for a lighter set(1) according to the present invention provides a useful packing case in packing, selling and displaying a lighter set.
One may put a lighter(2) and a refill gas(3) into the lighter cavity(12) and the refill-gas cavity(13) respectively formed on the front cover(10) and put an operating manual(4) into the operating-manual cavity(22) formed on rear cover(20) and put a leaflet(5) whose lower end is folded in such a manner that the folded part can be inserted to gaps among the bottom surface(15) of front cover and the bottom surface(24) of rear cover and the inclined surfaces(32)(33) of bottom part.
Then a lighter(2) and the related parts can be packed by contacting front cover(10) to rear cover(20) by fastening the protrusions(14) of the front cover to the recesses(23) of the rear cover.
As the case is molded of transparent plastic material, one may see the contents and an advertising leaflet in the case without opening the packing case. And one may also display a lighter set on the board of display vertically as the width(W1) of bottom part is wider than the top width(W2).

Claims (3)

1. A packing case for a lighter set, comprising (a) a front cover(10) which is made of transparent plastic, having a lighter cavity(12) for accommodating a lighter(2) therein and a refill-gas cavity(13) for accommodating a refill gas(3) therein on the inner surface(11) thereof, and a plurality of protrusions(14) which are formed on margin of the inner surface(11) thereof (b) a rear cover(20) which is made of transparent plastic, having an operating-manual cavity(22) for accommodating an operating manual(4) therein on the inner surface(21) thereof, and a plurality of recesses(23) which are formed to the positions corresponding to said protrusions(14) on the inner surface(21) thereof; and (c) a bottom part(30) which is hingedly attached to the bottom edges of the rear cover(20) and the front cover(10) in such a manner that the inner surface(11) of the front cover(10) securely contacted to the inner surface(21) of the rear cover(20) by fastening the protrusions(14) to the recesses(23).

A packing case for a lighter set according to claim, wherein the bottom part(30) is A-shaped in cross section and consists of two inclined surfaces(32)(33) which come to contact with the bottom surface(15) of front cover(10) and bottom surface(24) of rear cover(20) respectively and the width(W1) of the bottom part(30) is wider than the top width(W2) between the front cover(10) and rear cover(20) when the front cover(10) is contacted to rear cover(20).
3. A packing case for a lighter set substantially as hereinbefore described, with reference to the accompanying drawings.
