Description
1 MUSICAL DOLL This invention relates to a musical doll.
2303798 According to the invention, there is provided a musical doll as set out in the Claims.
The doll object of the invention, being of the above described type, has the feature that the cassette tape player may be provided in a hollow in the doll's back and be duly hidden by a dress or other garment worn by the doll, or else disguised as a back pack. Furthermore, said cassette tape player may be connected to a microphone adapted, using a strap, to be close to the mouth of a user, so that she may sing the lyrics of the song played by the cassette tape player, simulating during the displacement of the user of said doll that she is singing the song being played.
It is evident that in such a simple manner, and in accordance with the type of doll to which the object of this invention is applicable, it is possible to achieve a simulation of the singing performance of a song reproduced by a cassette tape player carried by the doll itself, being its user the one supplying the lyrics singing voice.
In order to complement the description effected below and with the aim of aiding towards a better understanding of the features of the invention, a detailed description of an embodiment of the invention is herein offered based on a set of drwings attached to this
2 patent specification, as an integral part thereof, and where, with a merely indicative but not limitative character, the following has been duly represented:
Figure 1 shows a rear perspective view of incorporating at its back a cassette tape player.
a doll Figure 2 shows means used to attach and hold fast the microphone upon the head of a user, said microphone being duly connected to the cassette tape player incorporated into the doll shown in the previous figure.
In said figures, the numerical references correspond to the following parts and elements:
1. - Doll. 2.- Doll extremities. 3.- Doll shoes (1). 4.- Elastic straps fitted to the shoes of the doll (1). 5.- Hollow cavity at the back of the doll (1). 6.- Cassette tape player. 7.- Elastic strap. 8.- Microphone. g.- Cable connecting the cassette tape player and the microphone (8) 10.User. 11._ 12.13.- Microphone support arm (8). Supporting arm (11) adjustment device. Yoke holding the adjustment device (12) to the strap (14). 14.- Strap for attachment to the head (10) of the user.
As may be observed in the above referenced figures, the doll (1) object of this invention includes extremities, both upper and lower, that are flexible, allowing the doll to be duly adapted to the height of the user. The shoes (3) of the doll (1) are fitted with elastic straps (4) consisting of straps made of rubber or similar material, in order that whenever the user introduces her feet inside the straps (4) so that they are properly attached, the doll will then be firmly located in front of the user, given that the flexibility of the extremities of the doll (1) make it possible to adapt its height to that of the user.
The novelty of the doll (1) resides in that at its back has been provided a hollow cavity (5) in which a cassette tape player (6) is placed so that it remains duly hidden, although it could also very well adopt a shape and design simulating a back pack.
The previously mentioned cassette tape player (6) is connected to a microphone (8) using a connection cable (9) the microphone is then arranged level with the mouth of the user (10), for which purpose it has been foreseen that said microphone (8) be located upon. a supporting arm (1 L), inside which runs the connection cable (9), being said supporting arm (11) fastened to an adjustment device (12) which, using a holding yoke, is coupled to a strap that is then fastened around the perimeter of the head of the user (10).
The microphone (8) may be adjusted and placed on the head of the user (10), due to the supporting arm (11) being assembled so that. it can slide in respect of the adjustment device (12), being the latter also assembled so that it can slide in respect of the strap (14).
An elastic strap (7) attached between one of the shoulders of the doll and the back area corresponding to its waist allows the user to introduce a hand between said strap and the body of the doll, to enable the user to hold -r during - 4 her displacements.
The already described features allow the user (10) to sing the lyrics of the melody being played by the cassette tape player (6) during the displacement of said user and therefore during the displacement of the doll (1) which is attached through the straps (4) to the feet of the user, so that the user and the doll will then move simultaneously as if they had become a single entLty.
is The microphone (8) may be substituted by an earphone, so that using the supporting arm (11), the adjustment.'.,evice (12) and strap (14), said earphone may be placed near the ear of the user, so that she may listen to the melody being played by the cassette tape player (6), unattached from the doll.
Claims (2)
1. A musical doll adaptable to the height of a user, and attachable to the latter by its feet; comprising a cassette tape player provided at the back of the body of the doll, the said cassette tape player being adapted for connection to a microphone that can be located near the mouth of the user, using appropriate supporting and fastening elements, thus allowing the user to sing lyrics corresponding to a melody being played by the cassette tape player.
2. A musical doll in accordance with claim 1, wherein the microphone is provided at a first end of a supporting arm within which runs a cable establishing the connection between said microphone and the cassette tape player, the said supporting arm being adjustably attached, at a second end thereof, to a holding yoke upon a strap perimetrically arranged on the head of the user; the supporting arm and holding yoke being arranged in such a way that they can be displaced in order to allow the microphone to be adjustably positioned near the mouth of a user.
A musical doll substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
