Abstract

A disposable nappy is provided with a pocket 11 into the bottom of which is heat-sealed a disposal bag of plastics or biodegradable material. The bag has pleats 6 and handles 9, the latter being for tying together after the used nappy has been placed in the bag. The nappy also has two securing tapes 5 in case one becomes damaged or wet.

Description

2302026 COMBINATION OF ONE HEAT-SEALED DISPOSABLE BAG AND NAPPY This
invention relates to a bag heat sealed within a disposable nappy.
Disposable nappies are comprised of suitable absorbent and water-proof fabrics which are secured by a tape each side in materials suitable for babies. Problems arise when changing the nappies as to where the person changing the nappy can immediately place the soiled nappy safely. The nature ofland the content of a nappy ie, including bacteria producing and related substances need to be safely disposed. Further problems arise when using the nappy with just one tape each side as one tape can get damaged or wet and the nappy not be re-usable.
According to the present invention, nappies comprise of security tape which enables the nappy to be taken on and off, but at present has no way of safely disposing or covering the soiled nappy away from the baby to prevent infection, without leaving the baby unattended nor do the present nappies have an additional tape each side.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing.
Figure 1 shows the back of the nappy straight on.
Figure 2 illustrates the bag when pulled out of the nappy.
Figure 3 shows the bag opened out not attached to the nappy.
Figure 4 shows the folds of the heat sealed bag to create the pleats.
Figure 5 shows the bag pulled over the nappy.
Figure 6 shows the nappy enclosed inside the bag.
1 Referring to the drawing the nappy fig 1 comprises of a heat sealed pocket made into the nappy below the waistband (1) this has a folded bag enclosed within it (2). The bag is heatsealed into the bottom of the pocket (4) and is made out of, for example, plastic or biodegradable material. If the bag is held in the pocket with tape or glue a material could be used, for example, muslim or a thin cotton. This bag may in the future hold a medicated wipe.
The bag is closed into the pocket by a light heat-seal (3) which can be pulled open to allow the bag to be pulled out. Instructions telling where to open the waistband are shown on the outside of the pocket (11) with arrows.
The bag fig 3 is created by pleating and then heat-sealing (7) and (8) which when pulled out can be pulled over the nappy Fig 4 thus concealing it from the baby. The bag can then be tied up fig 6 and ready for disposing of safely.
Shown on Fig 1 two tapes (5) are used on the side of the nappy instead of just one to provide more hold when damaged or wet.
2.

Claims (2)

1 A disposable nappy containing a bag heat-sealed into a pocket gives means for covering the soiled nappy ready for easy and safe disposal.
2 A disposable nappy containing a bag heat-sealed into a pocket in the nappy as claimed in Claim 1 wherein the means for the tape usage when resealed the two tapes provide more security.
