Abstract
A spoon is designed to encase a teabag or similar ingredient in order to make a beverage. Body (1) has a section (2) which closes over by means of a hinge (3) to encase an ingredient. Perforations (6) allow liquid to pass through the assembly section (2) has a lug (4) to clasp into hole (5) to form the completed.
Description
COMBINED TEABAG AND SPOON DISPOSABLE
This invention relates to a combined teabag or similar ingredient, and spoon, which is disposable once used.
Teabags are well known and commonly used to make a hot beverage, also a disposable plastic spoon is commonly used to help in the preperation of the beverage. The used teabag, which is removed with the plastic spoon becomes cumbersum and messy at this point and hard to dispose of.
At this moment in time plastic spoons are designed to be disposable, and teabags are without question disposable, bringing the two items together has numerable advantages.
To incorporate the teabag and spoon makes it more convenient in the preperation of the beverage and enables accurate removal of the teabag when the required strength of the beverage is acquired, to taste, with minimum mess when removing the teabag, which can then be placed on the saucer or side plate until final disposal.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described, by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which:figure 1 Shows in perspective the purpose made spoon in the
open position.
Figure 2 Shows the side elevation of the purpose made spoon in
the open position.
Figure 3 Illustrates the teabag in position within the purpose
made spoon, in the open position.
Figure 4 Illustrates the purpose made spoon containing the
teabag in the completed position.
Referring to the drawing, the spoon is shown viewed from above in the open position as in fig 1, with the body (1) and the container section (2) joined by a hinge (3), or similar mechanism. The spoon is also shown to have a lug (4) and a receiver (5), which will clasp the spoon in the closed position. The spoon is also shown in the open position, from a side view in fig 2. The spoon is shown partly closed, containing the ingredient in fig 3. Finally it is showing, in fig 4, that the spoon is fully closed containing the ingredient. The perforations (6), are to allow the flow of liquid to pass through the spoon.
Claims (3)
1. A purpose made spoon to contain a teabag or similar
ingredient to make a hot or cold beverage, which would be
totally disposable.
2. A purpose made spoon, moulded as one piece or separate
pieces, for use as claimed in claim 1.
3. A purpose made spoon, hinged to form an open and closed
container, with perforations to allow flow of liquid to
pass through the spoon, as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2.
