Abstract
A frame F for lifting and transporting three-point hitch connected equipment is connectable to a fork lift carriage or a front end loader by brackets A and has a top hook B for picking up the equipment and lower, replaceable stabilising plates C for restricting unwanted movement of the equipment during transport. The plates C can be removed and replaced by e.g. bail forks or a dumpy bag carrier (Fig 3) when not being used for transporting the three-point equipment.
Description
Mountable lifting frame, the Quick-Shift.
This invention relates to a mountable lifting frame for use with fork lift / front loader type vehicles. it provides the means to lift and move all three point linkage equipment.
The safe movement of all three point linkage equipment is ncrmally carried out by a tractor, which is aesigned specifically for this purpose.
Piovement of three point iinkage equipment is often attempted by various other means which poses danger to people and damage to equipment wnich is frequently dropffijed.
The Quick-Shift mountable lifting frame has been designed to overcome this problem. by mounting the Quick-Shift to a fork lift / front loader type vehicle, trie lifting frame provides the means to lift ana stabilize and three point linkage equipment that needs to be moved in a safe and convenient manner.
According to the preseilt invention triere is provided a countable lifting frame, comprising a main framework with mounting points for securing to the fork lift / front loader, integral hook and stabilizing plates, which provide the means to iift, stabilize and move any tnree point linkage equipment.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig 1: Shows in perspective tne mountable iiftirg frame, front
view.
Fig 2: Shows the mountable lifting frame, rear view.
Fig 3: hows mountable lifting frame, sioe view.
Referring to the drawing Fig 1; the mountable lifting irame comprises of a main framework, F, with mounting points, A and A* which secure the lifting frame to the fork lift / front loader. The top bracket
A* hooks onto the fork lift / front loader main lifting beam and the lower bracket is securrea by a pin at point A. The lifting hock
B, provides the @ eans to lift three point linkage equipment and the stabilizing plates, C, stabilize and restrict unwanted movement of the equipment been movec.
Fig 2 aetails the rear view of the lifting frame with one example of the position of the mounting trackets A ana A* which couples the lifting frame and the fork lift / front loader togetner. The lifting hook is visable as
Fig 3 details the main framework, F, mounting points A and A* and lifting hook, i. The stabilizing plates C attach at point G on the frame F with pin 1B into hole 1A.
ln this ccnfiguration the countable lifting frames primary iunction is in use. That is for gloving three point linkage equipment.
When not in use for tnis function, additional, optionai lifting aid attachments can be utilised, by removing stabilizing plates, C and fitting either of tne two examples shown D or E at point G, with the pin 1S into hole 1A on main frame F.
it shall be made clear that the lifting aid attachments not be confined to the two examples shown.
Claims (9)
1 A mountable lifting frame comprising a main structure with
mounting points as a means of securing the said main structure
to a fork lift / front loader type vehicle. An integral hook
and stabilizing plates attached to the main frame provide the
means to lift and move ali tnree point linkage type equipment.
When the frame is not been used for its primary function of
lifting and moving three point linkage equipment, the stabilizing
plates can ce detached and optional lifting aid attachmellts can
be fitted, for example a bale spike or a dumpy bag carrier.
2 A frame as described in claim 14 that cari be mounted on to a
Fork lift / front loader type vehicle. The said frame, when
mountea is able to move/transport all three point linkage type equipment safely.
3 A frame as in claims 1 aitd 2 wherein all mounting @ oints that
secure the main frame to the fork lift / @ront loader, are not
restricted and may be secured to tiie main frame in any p position
or configuration and by any means found to be suitable.
4 A frame as in claims 1, 2 arc 3 wherein the saic flame can @e mounted on to any fork lift / front loader type vehicle.
5 A frame as in claims 1,2,3 and 4 wherein the main structure
configuration may change to suit varuious other applications.
6 A frame as in claims 1,2,3,4 and 5, wherein the lifting hook
and stabiiizing plates triat are secured to the main framework are not restricted ana may be secured in any position / config
uration aric by ans means foLna to be suitable.
7 A frame as in all previous claims wherein tne stabilizing plates
are removable from the frame and additional lifting aids may be
fitted at tne same position on the lifting frame. The lifting
aids may take many forms and should not be restricted.
8 A frame. as in all previous claims, wherein the frame can be
constructed from any material or mixture of materials found to
be suitable.
9 A mountable lilting irame, substantially described herein with
reierence to figures 1-3 ol tre accompanying drawings.
