Abstract

A toothbrush has toothpaste which is stored in the handle and may be pumped to the bristles using a button, and a clear bristle cover initially sealed to the brush and which may be reattached after seal breakage, which breakage indicates use. The pump button is under the cover. The cover ensures hygene and avoids accidental paste dispersal.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION This invention relates to a disposable toothbrush which may be used without the need to purchase toothpaste as a separate item. The toothbrush is conventional in design and in appearance save that in the body of the toothbrush is a supply of toothpaste which may be extruded to the head of the toothbrush b the depression of a pump button incorporated in the handle of the toothbrush and the toothbrush is presented with a cover over the brush head area with a breakable seal, but which cover may be re-placed over the brush head and re-clipped into place.

MORE PARTICULARLY A toothbrush which has a cavity incorporated in the handle, and in part of the brushing head, and which cavity is filled with toothpaste and which toothpaste can be pumped out of the inside cavity to the base of the brush head area and thus used in the normal fashion.
Additionally the toothbrush has a cover, (say clear hard cylindrical plastic), over the brush head area which prior to use has a seal which will need to be broken prior to use, (the breaking of the seal allows the brush head to be exposed for use and allows the toothpaste to be 'pumped'to the brush head, because otherwise the 'pump' button is inaccesible), thus the user of the toothbrush will be assured that the toothbrush has not previously been used and after use initial or subsequent the original top may be replaced and clipl,cd into place, (but not actually re-sealed), over the brush head and thus keeping the brush head clean and hygienic until disposal, and at the same time, the broken seal will indicate to the user and to others that the toothbrush is now in use, see figure 1 for illustration of toothbrush and toothbrush head.

Claims (1)

  1. The distictive technical features are a toothbrush containing within it a supply of toothpaste which may be 'pumped' out to use in the normal way, and which toothbrush and supply of toothpaste is sealed until required for use which avoids accidental dispersal of any toothpaste prior to use and which toothbrush may be subsequently protected by the original cover and kept clean and hygienic and continuing to avoid accidental dispersal of toothpaste.
