Abstract
Lottery game apparatus comprises a set of grids (1) on which forecasts can be made and a random number generator which is a wheel (6) carrying a pointer (5) so that after being spun it comes to rest against a number segment (3) carried on a ring (2), each number segment (3) having additionally a peg hole (4) which records that the number has been selected.
Description
1 to 49 A LOTTERY GAME.
DF CRIPTION This invention is a board game suitable for children and adults.
The board game is a lottery based game, allowing players to match their numbers against randomly drawn numbers. The objective of the game is to select and match to the randomly drawn numbers.
The game is further extended by randomly drawing and matching a colour. Artificial winnings are paid out to those numbers and colour correctly matched.
1 to 49 A Lottery Game is a one to forty nine numbers based game, and has a means for selecting random numbers between one to forty nine. Figure 1 illustrates the main features on the game.
The game consists of a board with a hexagon at the centre of the board and at the centre is a free spinning wheel mechanism 6 as shown in Figure 1. Within the hexagon are two concentric circles. The 'ring' 2 formed by the two concentric circles is equally divided into forty nine separate segments 3, each segment being numbered from 1 to 49. The forty nine segments of the 'ring' are alternatively coloured using five distinctive and different colours (for example red(R), blue(B), yellow(Y), green(G) and white(W)).
On the outer edge of the hexagon are six rectangular number and colour grids 1 as shown in Figure 1. The number grid is numbered 1 to 49 and each number cell has the same colour as its corresponding number in the 'ring' segment. The colour grid has five cells for the five distinctive and different colours used in the colouring of the forty nine 'ring' segments. In the game play, grid cells are selected by placement of markers in the cell.
Adjacent and belonging to each of the forty nine 'ring' segment is a 'peg' hole 4 as shown in Figure 1.
The spinning wheel mechanism is a free spinning wheel with a pointed position marker 5 as shown in Figure 1. The wheel can be rotated in any direction such that when the wheel comes to rest, the position marker points to one of the segments numbered 1 to 49.
The general principle of the game is for players to chose six numbers from the rectangular number and colour grid 1, and place a marker on each of the six numbers chosen. The players also select and mark one colour from the colour grid cells. The spinning wheel is rotated and when it comes to rest, the position marker 5 points to one of the forty nine 'ring' segment numbers and that number is said to have been drawn. The drawn number is noted by 'pegging' the hole 4 belonging to that number. This is repeated to draw six numbers (if the spinning wheel rests on a number already drawn, then another number is drawn). Finally the wheel is spun once more and when it comes to rest, the colour of the 'ring' segment is noted and that colour is said to have been drawn.
The players match their numbers and colour selected on the grid cells against the drawn numbers and colour,
and appropriate artificial winnings are awarded.
The above is repeated as often as neccessary, the winner of the game being the player with most winnings.
Claims (4)
1. 1 to 49 A Lottery Game is a one to forty nine numbers based game and has a means for selecting random numbers between one to forty nine. The numbers one to forty nine are colour coded alternatively by five distinctive and different colours. The means for selecting random numbers also selects random colours.
2. 1 to 49 A Lottery Game has associated player grids, each grid having the same numbers one to forty nine and the same corresponding colours as claimed in Claim 1.
3. 1 to 49 A Lottery Game as claimed in Claims 1 and 2, has a means to act as a reminder for the random numbers and colour selected.
4. 1 to 49 A Lottery Game as described herein and referred to
Figure 1 of the accompanying drawing.
