Description
BAG FOR STRUCTURING A DIKE
The invention relates to a bag for filling with sand, rocks etc. so as to be formed a dike for diking a track of land.
Typically, in order to dike a track of land, particularly the land in the sea shore area or in the river, a number of piles are driven deeply into the bottom portion of the sea or the river at intervals of a certain distance to enclose the land which is going to be filled with rocks and sands. However, it is difficult to drive the piles into the bottom of the sea and the river. In addition, the sand filled in the region tends to leak from apertures defined between the piles by waves and tides.
The invention is to provide a bag including an inlet and an outlet, and tubes are connected to the inlet and the outlet respectively for filling sands into and for drawing water from the bag. The bag is filled with sands and rocks so as to form a solid body which is arranged in the bottom of the sea or of the river so as to dike a track of land.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a bag;
FIG. 2 is a partial cross sectional view illustrating the operation of the bag;
FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing the sea shore employing the dike formed by the bag;
FIG. 4 is a schematic view showing the application of the bag;
FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing another embodiment of the bag; and
FIG. 6 is a cross sectional view illustrating the operation of the bag.
Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4, a bag is provided for filling with sands and rocks so as to form a solid body which is arranged in the bottom of the sea or of the river so as to dike a track of land. The bag 10 is preferably made of P.P., P.E., and nylon and includes a tubular body having an inlet 11 and an outlet 12 each having an enveloping loop 13, 14 formed around the peripheral portion thereof. A rope 131, 141 is threaded through each of the enveloping loops 13, 14 and includes a portion extended out of the enveloping loop 13, 14. Two tubes 20, 30 each has a flange 21, 31 formed on one end and engaged with the enveloping loop 13, 14 which may solidly secure the tubes 20, 30 to the inlet 11 and the outlet 12 respectively.The tube 20 is provided for filling sands and rocks into the bag 10 and the other tube 30 is provided for drawing water out of the bag 10 such that the bag 10 may be completely filled with sands and rocks so as to form a dike.
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the dikes may be arranged to dike a track of land where sands and rocks are further to be filled in order to form a newborn land.
Referring next to FIGS. 5 and 6, the outlet 15 may be formed in the other end of the bag 10, and an enveloping loop 16 is provided on the peripheral portion of the outlet 15 and has a rope 161 threaded therethrough for securing a tube 30 to the outlet 15.
The outlet 15 includes a sleeve portion 151 extended inward of the bag 10 for shielding the tube 30 so as to prevent the sand and rocks from moving out via the tube 30.
Accordingly, the bags may be easily filled with sands and rocks so as to form dikes which are excellent for diking a track of land.
Claims (2)
1. A bag for structuring a dike, characterized in that:
said bag comprises a tubular body including at least one inlet and at least one outlet, and engaging means secured to said inlet and said outlet for securing said inlet and said outlet to tube members, said inlet is provided for filling sands and rocks into said bag and said outlet is provided for drawing water out of said bag.
2. A bag substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
2. A bag according to claim 1, wherein said engaging means each includes an enveloping loop secured to the peripheral portion of said inlet and said outlet, and a rope threaded through said enveloping loop.
3. A bag substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows
1. A bag for structuring a dike, the bag comprising a tubular body including at least one inlet and at least one outlet, an enveloping loop secured to the peripheral portion of the inlet and the outlet, a rope threaded through the enveloping loop for securing the inlet and the outlet to tube members, the inlet being provided for filling sands and rocks into the bag and the outlet being provided for drawing water out of the bag, characterized in that:
a sleeve portion is extended inward of the bag for shielding the outlet of the tubular body so as to prevent the sands and rocks from moving out of the tubular body.
