Abstract

In a laser soldering apparatus the laser light is diffused and the laser power is cut off in response to an IR temperature sensor. The laser and a lens are both supported on a mounting bracket.

Description

PROBLEM: Soldering by machine is done in one spot, is not diffused and the time taken to solder one joint is minimized without measuring the temperature. This can cause bad soldering techniques with bad soldering results especially on printed circuit boards.
SOLUTION: - Diffuse the laser light-slightly to warm the surface up to the right temperature Apply solder laserpower automatic timer cut out TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION: The laser and the diffusing lens in a lens holder are both held by the same holder which is wall mounting and is fitted with clamps. An 1 R temperature measuring device cuts off the power automatically to the laser.
SAFETY: Even temperature rise ensures safe melting of solder at the right temperature.

    1. The application of the laser as a soldering/welding machine comprising of the following components: A laser of various wattages fitted into A lens holder with a lens placed in it Mounted onto a mounting bracket.
