Abstract
A paper roll holder comprises a bracket 1 and a lid 2 having beneath its front edge a slot 24 defined by a pressing panel 3 which in use pivots downwardly under its own weight to rest against a paper roll supported on a pair of stub (15, 16) shafts of the paper holder. The end of the paper roll is introduced into the slot 24 defined between the pressing panel 3 and the front edge of the lid 2 so as to rest on the upper horizontal surface of the pressing panel 3. It is very easy to tear off an appropriately sized piece of the paper by using a single hand to draw out a desired piece of paper and by then pulling it downward when the pressing panel 3 is pressed onto the paper roll by the pulling force so that the piece of paper will be torn off. Such an arrangement provides an economic, improved, and useful paper roll holder. <IMAGE>
Description
PAPER ROLL HOLDERS
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Conventional paper rolls for toilet paper, bathroom tissues, and towels are different from the pop-up toilet paper. it takes more time to pop up pieces of bathroom tissues than tear off a piece of paper roll. The paper roll has continuous punched lines for the user to tear it into pieces easily. In the highly industrial and commercial society, everyone is so busy and th1rlks that time is money; no one wants to spend too much time popping up toilet paper piece by piece, unless he is at leisure at home or on his holiday. Moreover, before using the paper, he has to count how many pieces of paper he really needs if he does not want to waste them.Above all, it is more convenient to use the paper roll than the pop-up tissues, because the paper roll can be set up or hung up vertically the user can easily get a certain length of paper by drawing out the end of the roll and tear it off along the punched lines.
However, though the convention paper roll is usually set in a holder or fixed on a walls, it is still not convenient enough, as show in FIG 1, after the user draws out a piece of paper, he as to use one hand to press down the lid 4' of the holder, and use the other hand to teaT the paper: that is, usually he has to use both hands to tear off the paper completely from the punched
line; if he only uses one hand, it may be difficult for him to
tear the paper along the punched line and tear it off completely,
so the edge of the end of the paper roll may become very
irregular; or it may be possible that the paper will be drawn
longer than he really needs, and thus it may result in a great
waste.
Seeing these disadvantages, the inventor developes the present
paper roll holder to improve the conventional type.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
l.OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is to provide a paper roll
holder which can be easily operated by one hand to cut a piece of
paper regularly along the punched line; another object of the
invention is to provide a pair of shafts which is injection-molded
on the paper roll holder.
2. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE INVENTION
The main characteristic of the invention is that it has a paper
roll bracket, a lid, and a pressing panel, wherein the bracket
provides a pair of suspending arms for the paper roll to put up
and set in; the lid, shaped like a suspending arm, has a back end and a front end, the back end is pivoted on the shaft pin of the bracket and under the front end, there disposed a suspending pressing panel shaped like "U";,when the bracket is hung on a wall, the inner rim of the pressing panel will spontaneously hang down and contact with the paper roll because of its weight; when the paper roll is put up on a pair of shafts of the paper holder and when the end of the paper roll is wound to penetrate between the pressing panel and the front rim of the lid and rested on the horizontal pressing panel, it is very easy for the user to tear an enough piece of the paper by using a single hand to draw out a desired piece of paper and then pull it downward because the pressing panel will press onto the paper roll by the pulling force, as a result the piece of paper can be easily torn off.
Another characteristic of the invention is that the pair of coaxial shafts for paper roll to set in are individually disposed on the right and left arms, the suspending arms can be slightly pushed outward to opposite sides for the paper roll to set in because they are elastic, after the paper roll is set in the shafts, release the arm plates and the paper roll will be rotarily held in the holder.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRRED EMBODIMENTS
Now referring to FIG 2, a pictorial schematic view of the invention, and FIG 3, a pictorial decomposition view of the members of the invention, a paper roll holder is mainly comprised of a "U" shaped bracket 1 and a lid 2, wherein the lid 1 which tends to suspend forward has a back end and a front end, the back end of the lid 1 is pivoted on the shaft pin of the bracket 1 and under the front end, there disposed a suspending pressing panel 3 shaped like "U"; between the pressing panel 3 and the front rim 21 of the lid 2, there formed a horizontal seam 24; a pair of shafts are disposed in the bracket 1 for the paper roll 4 to hang and set on (to be described later); when the bracket 1 Is hung on a wall.
the inner rim 32 of the pressing panel 3 will spontaneously hang down and contact with the paper roll because of its weight: when the paper roll 4 is put up on a pair of shafts 15. 16 of the paper holder 1 and when the end 41 of the paper roll 4 is wound to penetrate the horizontal seam 24 between the pressing panel 3 and the front rim 21 of the lid 2 and rested on the horizontal pressing panel 3, it is very easy for the user to tear an enough piece of the paper by using a single hand to draw out a desired length of paper and then pull it downward because the pressing panel 3 will press onto the paper roll 4 by the pulling force; as a result, the piece of paper will be easily torn off.
As shown in FIG 3, the bracket 1 tends to shape like a "U", when compared with the conventional type, the present type is superior to the conventional one, partly because the conventional paper roll holder can only provide a function for the roll to set in, and partly because the present invention is more comvenient to operate, easier to cut paper, and more effective to use. The user has no more trouble cutting the paper, it becomes easy and convenient for the user to cut it evenly and regularly.
As shown in F1G 5, an explanatory vie of the operation of the inveniton (action of tear off the paper), tele front X im 31 ol the pressing panel 3 provides an opening 33 for the user to draw out the end of the paper roll 4 when the punched line 42 is torn to become the very end of the paper and placed abreast with the rim 31 of the pressing panel 3.
As shown in FIG 6, a sectional schematic view of the structure of the roll holder with a pair of shafts, wherein a pair of suspending arms 13, 14 extending from back to the front is disposed on both inner side of the side supports 11, 12; the back ends of the suspending arms 13, 14 are connected with the wall of the paper roll bracket 1, and the arms 13, 14 are elastic and can be pushed/pulled right or left; and as shown in FIG 7, a schematic view of setting the paper roll onto the shafts, a pair of coaxial shafts 15, 16 for paper roll 4 to set in are individually disposed on the right and left arms 13, 14, the suspending arms 13, 14 can be slightly pushed outward to opposite sides for the paper roll 4 to set in its position because they are elastic, after the shafts 15, 16 are set in the central holes of the paper roll 4 just release the arms 13, 14 and the paper roll 4 will be rotarily held in the holder.
With the present invention thus described, it is apparent that numerous modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope and spiritof this invention. It is therefore intended that this invention be limited only as indicated in the appended claims.
