A coffin having an integrally or separately formed lining e.g. of fibreglass is sealed and evacuated in use. <IMAGE>

Description

VACUUM SEALED COFFIN Technical. This relates to a vacuumed coffin.
Field.
Background. In this case I am ref fearing to a standard coffin it' size depend's on it's future occupant, the coffin could be made of any of the wood's as used in coffin making today.
Essential Technical Feature's. According to the present invention the coffin would be lined with fibre glass resined on plastic, the lining could form an intregel part of the coffin on it could be as a seperate lining, the lower part of the coffin would be lined with a lip covering the top edge of the wood on this would be fitted a seal, on the inside of the lid it would be lined with fibre glass or plastic again with seal which would match up to the one on the lower part of the coffin.
At any convieniant point would be fitted a none retern valve so that when the two section's are screwed together it form's a sealed unit from which the air can be extracted by mean's of a vacuum pump thus making it a air free sealed unit.
Example. a specific embodiment of the invention will now be discribed by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure. 1 Show's in perspective the coffin complete with lining Figure. 2. Illustrates the seperation of the lining's from the coffin.

Figure. 4. Show's the coffin with lid open.
Ref fearing to the drawing it is a stanard coffin of any size fitted with a sealable lining in order to achieve this the seal's are mated to each other the screw's are then inserted and tightened down.

Claims (1)

  1. CLAIM
    The coffin with the fibre glass on plastic lining's with seal's and with the air extracted through the none return valve useing a vacuum pump form's a sealed unit, and since all sizes of boat's up to ship's are made of this material it is obvious that.
    A. No not of the inner lining will take place.
    B. that no water, worm's, or any other matter will enter the unit.
    C. This being so nothong will escape from the inside of the unit..
    D. Your own tomb much better than brick will not be destroyed by time.
