Abstract
A glove 1, especially for shampooing and tinting operations, has a soft glove portion in which a hand is inserted and, to the front tip of the back of each finger component 5, is secured a nail-like attachment 6 made of hard material. Alternatively, a hard hollow cap (2, Fig. 3) having a pointed nail portion (3) is integrally formed at the front tip of each finger component of the glove whereby the fingers of a wearer of the glove can be operated in a more convenient manner. <IMAGE>
Description
GLOVE WITH HARD NAIL-LIKE ATTACHMENTS
The present invention relates to a glove with a hard nail-like attachment at the front end of each finger component of the plastic glove, allowing the wearer of a glove to scratch the head in a shampooing or rinsing operation or do household work with ease.
In general, people working in a hair dresser's salon or a barber's shop have to do a lot of routine shampooing for their customers, so they are forced to plunge their hands day after day in hair shampoo or rinsing chemicals, gradually causing severe damage to the skin of their hands. Moreover, in a shampooing or rinsing process, it is necessary to scratch the head with the finger nails, but this can easily cause breaking of the nails and hurt the skin of the fingers at the same time.
To solve this kind of problem, people engaging in such a business have to wear plastic gloves to protect their hands from direct contact with shampoo chemicals.
However, the prior art gloves usually have smooth outer surface so it is impossible for a person to scratch the head with the finger nails in a shampooing or rinsing process. Some kinds of prior art glove provide rough surfaces with protruded spots or rings on the finger tips so as to effect scratching, but it is not as effective as real fingers.
Therefore, it is considered advantageous in the present invention to provide a plastic glove which has a hard finger nail-like attachment on the front end of each finger component of the glove so as to permit a person to scratch the head in a shampooing or rinsing process.
It is also considered advantageous in the present invention to provide a glove in which each finger component has a cap having a pointed nail portion at the front tip thereof.
Preferred embodiments of the present invention will now be described in detail, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings of which:
Figure 1 is a perspective view showing the structure of the present invention;
Figure 2 is a partial sectional view of one finger of the glove shown in Figure 1, when in use;
Figure 3 is a perspective view showing the structure of another embodiment of the present invention;
Figure 4 is a partial sectional view of one finger of the glove shown in Figure 3;
Figure 5 is a diagram showing how the glove of the present invention sits on a finger of the wearer.
Referring to Figure 1, the soft glove 1 of the present invention is made of rubber or resin material and is provided with five finger components 5 corresponding to the shape of a real hand used to cover the hand of the user. To the tip of each finger is securedly attached a hard nail piece 6 which is of similar shape to a real finger nail so as to enable the wearer of the glove to use his or her hand with ease.
As illustrated in Figure 2, a sectional view of a finger 4 in a finger component 5 of the glove 1 is shown. The attached finger nail piece 6 is shown in a sectional manner.
Another embodiment of the present invention is shown in Figure 3, wherein the reference numeral 1 indicates a glove portion made of rubber or resin material which is water proof. A finger cap 2 is sealedly engaged with each end of the finger components 5 of the glove 1 with a pointed nail portion 3 integrally formed at the front end of the cap 2, preventing water from penetrating into the glove.
Referring to Figure 4, the finger cap 2 has a hollow interior so as to permit the front end of a finger 4 to be inserted therein, as shown in Figure 5. The tip of each finger cap 2 terminates in a pointed nail portion 3 which is integrally formed with the cap 2 so as to permit the same to be controlled by the motion of a finger.
As shown in Figure 5, the vertical length of each finger cap 2 is preferably shorter than the first knuckle of each corresponding finger of a wearer's hand so as to facilitate the motion of fingers in the glove.
It is clearly seen that the glove of the present invention can be put onto a hand and the wearer of the glove who works in a barber's shop or a hair dresser's salon can still use his or her finger nails to scratch a head in a shampooing or rinsing process.
Claims (4)
