Description
A 2285034 S 1 e w i n g P i 1 1 a r C r a n e The invention relates to a
slewing pillar crane (rotary pillar crane), in particular for ships, with the features set forth in the preamble of the claims.
The known slewing pillar cranes of this type (DE-OS 3411051) admittedly permit a free passage through the pillar of the crane to the crane cabin, through the arrangement of the hydraulic station in the boom, however the same disadvantages also apply for the hydraulic station as apply for an arrangement of the station within the crane pillar, such as difficult installation and piping for the individual components in constricted spaces, and thus, likewise, difficult servicing. The hourly cost for the installation is naturally greater with constricted installation possibilities than with an independent unit which can be installed as a whole unit.
The invention is based on the object of overcoming the difficulties of the known slewing pillar cranes which have been indicated and accordingly of developing these further in such a way that one achieves installation and also servicing costs which are as low as possible.
This object is satisfied by the features set forth in the characterising part of the claims.
Through the formation of the hydraulic station as a unit it is now possible to completely build up the unit or aggregate in the workshop in a carrier frame. A test of the aggregate is likewise possible prior to installation in the crane. After the completion of the aggregate protective cladding against the weather can be installed outwardly around it, so far as is necessary.
The installation cost for the independent aggregate at the crane is restricted to the connection of the aggregate to the jib and the production of the hose or pipe connections to the motors and cylinders and also the production of the electrical connections. By using a selfsupporting frame for the hydraulic aggregate, the aggregate can be secured to the jib with the aid of three bolt connections. In this way the installation is substantially simplified and eventual twisting movements of the jib are not transferred to the aggregate.
For the further simplification of the installation and servicing the lifting winch can also be directly built onto the aggregate. In this way the later installation on the crane is avoided and the operational reliability of the system is increased. It is fundamentally possible to also arrange further winches directly on the aggregate.
Moreover, through the modular assembly of the invention a manufacturing advantage is achieved during the building of the crane, because the manufacturing areas steel construction/machine construction, on the one hand, and hydraulic technology, on the other hand, can be hereby largely separated from one another, so that spatially separated manufacturing, such as for example licence manufacturing with urgent deliveries is possible. At the crane the aggregate is very readily accessible for possible servicing and repairs. Heavy components of the aggregate can, if necessary, be easily removed with crane help. If necessary, it is even possible to exchange the complete aggregate. This can contribute to substantial reduction of eventual downtime of the crane.
The subject of the invention is explained in more detail in the drawing with respect to a schematically illustrated embodiment. There are shown:
Fig. 1 the upper part of the crane with the jib in accordance with the invention and the constructional unit in side view, Fig. 2 the rear region of the crane jib of the invention with the constructional unit of the invention in plan view.
The same parts are provided with the same reference numerals in both figures.
Reference numeral 1 designates the foundation part of the crane pillar which is only partially illustrated. The rotatable part 11 of the crane pillar is coaxially mounted onto the foundation part 1 and carries a crane cabin 2 at its side and a head piece 111 at its upper end. The reference numeral 3 designates a crane jib which is formed in the illustrated embodiment as a box girder and is pivotally journalled at its lower end about a horizontal axle 4 on the head piece 111 of the rotatable part 11 via a fork of the box girder 3, 31.
1 Two piston-in-cylinder units 5, 51 serve to support and also to lift or lower the crane jib 3 and are connected at the one end to the crane jib 3 at a distance in front of its foot end and at the other end to the rotatable part 11 of the crane pillar at a distance beneath the pivot point of the crane jib 3.
Reference numeral 6 designates a box-like (or parallepipedon-shaped) constructional unit which is arranged at the rear end of the crane jib 3, in the fork, and the inner space of which serves for receiving the complete hydraulic system. In this case the construction unit 6 likewise serves as a carrier for the lift winch 7 and also for a further winch 71. The constructional or modular unit 6 is connected with a transverse wall 3111 of the crane jib via three bolt connections 9, 10, 11 arranged at the front region of the constructional unit 6.
Claims (4)
1. Slewing pillar crane, in particular for ships, comprising a jib, predominantly formed as a box construction and pivotally hinged at its foot end about a horizontal axis on a rotatable part of the crane pillar, and further comprising hydraulically operated cylinders which, on the one hand, are hinged to the crane jib at a distance in front of its foot end and, on the other hand, are hinged to the rotatable part of the crane pillar at a distance below the hinge point of the crane jib, characterised in that the jib (3) is forked at its lower end to such an extent that the complete hydraulic station of the crane is arranged as an independent unit (6) at the rear end of the crane jib (3) between the spars of the fork (31, 311).
2. Slewing pillar crane in accordance with claim 1, characterised in that the hydraulic station (6) is combined with the lifting winches (7, 71) to an enlarged, independent, constructional unit.
3. Slewing pillar crane in accordance with claim 1 and 2, characterised in that the hydraulic station (6) is secured to the jib with three bolts (9, 10, 11).
4. A pillar crane substantially as herein described and as illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
