Abstract

228,337. Cheetham, G. A., and Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Co., Ltd. Jan. 26,1924. Frequency, measuring.-In an induction meter, having two electromagnets 2, 3 acting in opposition on the movable member and connected respectively through a resistance 6 and inductance 7 to the circuit under test, a condenser 8 is placed in series with the inductance and electromagnet 3. Preferably the condenser has such a value that resonance occurs at a frequency near the normal frequency of the circuit. For instance, the normal frequency of the circuit may be 60 cycles, and the resonance frequency 80 cycles. The instrument thus has a very open space in the region of normal frequency. Specification 16342/10 is referred to.
