Belt fastenings. - A fastening for driving-belts comprises a U-shaped bolt with threaded ends a<2> at right angles to a straight transverse portion a, a pair of planoconvex clamping - plates c, c<1> and nuts b. The device is applied as shown in Fig. 4, the arms a<2> being passed through holes in the belt ends placed face-to-face and the rounded faces of the clamping plates being pressed into the belt substance as the nuts are tightened.
