Abstract

A babies feeding/drinking bottle has a valve 4 for letting air into the bottle while the baby is sucking the contents of the bottle 1. The valve 4 may be provided in the teat (Figure 3), the base of the bottle (Figure 1) or the collar 2 which secures the teat to the bottle. The valve may be a separate part fixed permanently or temporarily in position or it may be formed with its associated teat, collar or bottle or as part of an attachment for the teat, collar or bottle. <IMAGE>

Description

*BABIES FEEDING/DRIXKING BOTTLE This invention relates to a Babies feeding/drinking bottle.
A conventional Baby feeding/drinking bottle comprises a bottle, a teat and a top, which has a hole in it. The top attaches to the bottle letting part of the teat protrude through the hole in the top, yet sandwiching the wider bottom part of the teat between the bottle and itself, thus creating an air tight seal. In this conventional baby feeding/drinking bottle the only opening is on the teat, which allows the contents to come out and lets the air in when there is a vacuum in the bottle.
A baby feeding/drinking from a conventional bottle creates a bit more vacuum in the bottle with every sucking action. Occasionally the baby has to stop sucking to let the air in the bottle.
According to the present invention there is provided a babies feeding/drinking bottle fitted with a valve for air inlet into the bottle. As the baby sucks and creates a vacuum the valve will simultaneously let air in the bottle thus eliminating the vacuum and providing a consistent flow of the contents.
This valve could be placed on any component 1,2,3 Fig. 1 of the feeding/drinking bottle or any attachments made for these components.
The valve can be a separate part which can be put on or taken off, it can be fixed on permanently or it can be formed together with any one of these components or any attachments made for these components A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows the valve 4 placed on the bottle 1. The valve can be placed any where on the bottle.
Figure 2 shows the valve 4 placed on the 'top' 2 which secures the teat in place. The valve can be placed any where on the 'top' Figure 3 shows the valve 4 placed on the teat 3 . the valve can be placed any where on the teat.
* From here on 'BABIES FEEDING/DRINKI1G BOTTLE' means not just the bottle itself but all the components that are put together to make it usable to feed a baby. See 5 Fig 1,
