Milling-machines.-In a templet-controlled copying-machine the work P, profiled by a tool F, is mounted upon a rotary table G carried on a slide which is traversed on a bed T by a screw v driven from a three-phase motor M. The latter is controlled by a switch I operated by an electromagnet E, the circuit of which includes a battery Z, contact R and templet S. When the contact R engages the templet, the switch is brought to the position shown and the motor is driven to move the work away from the tool. As soon as the templet leaves the contact, the circuit of the electromagnet is broken and the switch I is moved by a spring m to reverse the direction of the motor. The templet may also have an axial movement relatively to the tracer so that three-dimensional copying may be effected.
