Gum and like substances, receptacles fitted to facilitate use of. -A stopper, for use with a brush &c., comprises a cork or like portion to fit a receptacle mouth containing a plug in a longitudinal aperture therein. The whole is covered by a cap of composition or other material uniting the parts rigidly together. The cap has a recess registering with the plug so that the plug is covered by a portion of reduced thickness to facilitate the insertion of the brush handle through the stopper and the expulsion of the plug.
