Abstract

A combined toilet/bidet has a pan 1 with suitable mounting point(s) for the fitment of a mixer tap 2 with adjustable spray nozzle 3 to the rear of the integral seat 4. <IMAGE>

Description

Combined Toilet/Bidet This invention relates to a combined toilet/bidet.
Although an increasing number of bathrooms are being fitted with bidets, it is often not possible either through lack of space and/or funds for one to be included in a bathroom suite. Every household has at least one lavatory and where one exists a combined toilet/bidet can be fitted in its place.
According to the present invention there is provided a lavatory with a mixer tap with an adjustable spray nozzle fitted to the rear of the pan's integral seat where on a conventional lavatory would be the seat mounting point A specific embodiment of this invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows in plan the combined toilet/bidet pan with fitted mixer tap and integral seat.
Figure 2 shows the combined toilet/bidet with cistern for flushing water and mixer tap with adjustable spray nozzle fitted to the rear of the integral seat.
Referring to the drawing, a combined toilet/bidet comprises a toilet pan I with an integral seat 4 to the rear of which is fitted a mixer tap 2 with adjustable spray nozzle 3.
Either after use of the toilet, or as part of a routine hygiene regime the user has the option of cleansing the part of the body between the bottom of the torso and the top of the legs. This could otherwise only have been done by the use of a seperate piece of sanitaryware.

Claims (1)

  1. A combined toilet/bidet comprising a pan, mixer tap with adjustable spray nozzle fitted to the rear of the pan in the region of a conventional toilet's seat mounting point, integral seat, and cistern.
    A combined toilet/bidet as claimed above wherein the pan features suitable mounting point(s) for the fitment of a mixer tap.
    A combined toilet/bidet as claimed above wherein the pan is elongated when compared to the pan of a conventional toilet in order to facilitate the cleansing of the area between the bottom of the torso to the top of the legs.
    A combined toilet/bidet as claimed above wherein the seat is integral with the pan in order that no obstruction be presented to either the mounting of the tap or the functioning of the tap or the cleansing of the body between the bottom of the torso and the top of the legs.
    A toilet/bidet substantially as described herein with reference to figures 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawing.
