Abstract
A baby's Cot Mattress has in its assembly, when completed several parts, the largest part being the main cot mattress, (fig. 1), which has incorporated into it a special feature named the "Recess" (fig. 2). A smaller section of the main mattress (fig. 1) is separated and is situated further down towards the foot of the cot. The entire mattress is, when assembled, entirely surrounded by another special feature named an "Inward Slope", (fig. 3). The sections in (fig. 4) and (fig. 5) are sections which complete the cots initial assembly, but are separately capable of interacting with the section at the foot of the cot (fig. 6) when relevant. <IMAGE>
Description
PANEL B
DESCRIPTION
A NIGHTMARE PREVENTION BED S IFICATIONS OF PANEL A FIGIURE 1 "MAIN MATTRESS"
The "Main Mattress" is the largest piece of the assembly.
The dimensions are as follows:
Length = 56cm: Breadth = 41cm: Width = 15cm:
Its main feature being "The Recess" (Figure 2).
FIGURE 2 "THE RECESS" "The Recess is situated at the top-half of the "Main
Mattress". It is indented into the "Main Mattress". It is 3Qcm in Length: IOcm Wide: and 8cm Deep. The outside edges are 5cm from either side of the "Inward Slopes". Its top edge, that is the edge nearest the "Head" of the bed is 20cm frown the start of the "Top Inward Slope".
FIGURE 3 "THE WARD SLQPE" "The Inward Slopes including "The Foot-Stop" positions (Figures 4 and 5) should all be firmly attached to their respective Mattresses.
The 3 Sections of "The Foot-Stop" assembly should be separate from the other parts of the bed to enable therm to interact with each other as the baby grows. (See dotted lines).
The overall measurements of "The Inward Slopes" are as follows:- Total Height 30cm (only 15cm will be showing)
Total Width is locum.
The inside bottom should start to slope towards the outside, 3cm above the "Main Mattress" assembly. (See Page 5,
Panel C) to a point 3cm from the extreme outside top edge.
The lengths are of course variable due to the "Foot-Stop" and the foot-stop positions (Figures 4, 5 and 6).
Figures 4. 5 and 6 'FOOT-STOP AND FOOT-STOP" POSITIONS.
The "Foot-Stop" section which is situated at the foot of the bed (Figure 6) (See page 5, panel C) is made specifically to fill two roles. First to complete the bed, and secondly to shorten the length of the bed so that the baby is stopped from straying too far down the bed, losing the benefit of "the Recess" and creating pressure and stress on the
Heart! This, (in my opinion), causes dreams and ultimate nightmares. Drawings of "the Inward Slopes" and "Foot-Stop" sections are on page 5, panel C.
FIGUREmk This constitutes what is simply the spare section of the "Main Mattress" and "The Sloping Sides", which belong to it (top and bottom), should be securely attached. Small sections showing the dotted lines (Figures 4, 5 and 6) should be able to be separated from the main sections which are static.
The total length of the bed is 122cm and the total width is 61cm.
