Holders. - In a spirallyguided gas-holder in which the lifts are composed of a top ring 4 of thick gauge sheet metal plates and lower rings 5 of thin gauge sheet metal plates, the surface of the lower rings 5 is pressed or joggled outwards to abut against the bases of the guide rails 6 for a portion 7 or the whole of the height of the lift. The space between the top ring 4 and the raised portion 7 may be filled in with a cement or other non-corrosive filling 8.
