Abstract

Self-locking double-action hydraulic actuator, with a rod (2) and a piston (3) which is immobilised in a cylinder (4), characterised in that its piston (3) is tightly mounted in an external cylinder (4) and freed to move with respect to this cylinder (4) by an expansion of this cylinder in the region of the piston brought about by the pressure of a fluid, the piston being actuated by a driving fluid. The rod (2) of the actuator comprises, according to one variant, a hydromechanical device for actuation by pivoting (31) at its rear end.
