Description

STEW POT FOR DECOCTING HERBAL MEDICINES BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The invention relates to a stew pot for decocting herbal medicines. The stew pot has an inner container whose lower portion can be fastened by a calorific member and a temperature-control assembly. Both the calorific member and the temperature-control assembly have, respectively, a tightening-up device disposed at the both ends. The tightening-up device includes a connecting strip coupled to one end of the calorific member or the temperature-control assembly, and a fixing strip coupled to the other end of the calorific member or the temperature-control assembly.A semi-cylindrical housing is fastened to the external side of the fixing strip so as to form a central passage which is capable of being inserted by a regulating screw bolt with buttress thread. A plurality of slant holes on the connecting strip is capable of being tightly engaged by 1 the buttress thread of the regulating screw bolt, by which the calorific member and the temperature-control assembly are capable of being tightened up and are fastened on the lower portion of the inner container of the stew pot. Moreover, a conductive plate on the temperature-control assembly has a lower arcuate portion and is capable of being completely attached on the lower portion of the inner container so that the conductive plate may provide actual heat temperature information to a temperature regulating switch for controlling the ON or OFF movement of the power source which enables the calorific member to generate heat.
2. Description of the Prior Art A stew pot being known, as shown in FIG. 1, includes a inner container 5, a calorific member 6 and a temperature-control assembly 7. The calorific member 6 and the temperature-control assembly 7 are bound on a lower portion 51 of the inner container 5 by piercing two iron wires 61 and 71, respectively, through four holes 62 at the both ends of the calorific member 6 and two protrusions 731 on a conductive plate 73 of the temperature-control assembly 7, and then tying up the two iron wires, respectively. The openings of the two iron wires 61 and 71 have to be tightly pressed against the arcuate external wall of the lower portion 51 of the inner container 5.Moreover, the conductive plate 73 having a temperature regulating switch 72 placed thereon is a planar form so that its contact surface with the arcuate external wall of the lower portion 51 of the inner container 5 is only a line, as shown in FIG. 1R, that is, the conductive plate 73 cannot be completely attatched on the arcuate external wall of the lower portion 51 of the inner container 5. Therefore, there are several disadvantages described as follows: 1. It will waste lots of time and costs to use iron wires to fasten the calorific member 6 and the temperature-control assembly 7 to the lower portion 51 of the inner container 5 by manual works.
2. It is hard to have same tightness in the tightening of the calorific member 6 and the temperature-control assembly 7 by using iron wires.
3. The iron wires 61 and 71 used to tie the the calorific member 6 and the temperature-control assembly 7 will be easily destroyed under the frequent high heat. of the inner container 5 of the stew pot for decocting herbal medicines.
4. The conductive plate 73 only has linear attachment with the arcuate external wall of the inner container 5 of the stew pot cannot provide actual heat temperature information of the inner container 5 to the temperature regulating switch 72.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Therefore, a primary object of the present invention is to provide a tightening-up device being capable of fastening a calorific member or a temperature-control assembly to an inner container of a stew pot for decocting herbal medicines. The tightening-up device disposed at the both ends of the calorific member or the temperature-control assembly includes a connecting strip coupled to one end of the calorific member or the temperature-control assembly, and a fixing strip coupled to the other end of the calorific member or the temperature-control assembly.
The connecting stip having a plurality of slant holes thereon. The fixing strip having two recesses, respectively, disposed on the upper edge and the lower edge of the fixing strip is fastened by a semicylindrical housing. A regulating screw bolt with buttress thread is capable of being inserted into a central passage formed by the fixing strip and the semi-cylindrical housing and tightly engages into the plurality of slant holes of the connecting strip so that the calorific member or the temperature-control assembly is capable of being tightened up and fastened on the lower portion of the inner container.
Nnother object of the present invention is to provide a conductive plate of a temperature-control assembly. The conductive plate can be divided into two portions: an upper planar portion for fixing a temperature regulating switch and a lower arcuate portion for being completely attached on the arcuate external wall of an inner container of a stew pot, by which the conductive plate is capable of providing the actual heat temperature information of the inner container to the temperature regulating switch for controlling the ON or OFF movement of the power source which enables the calorific member to generate heat.
According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention having the objects, there are some apparent advantages described as follows: 1. The tightening-up device on the calorific member or the temperature-control assembly is capable of fastening the calorific member or the temperaturecontrol assembly to the external wall of the lower portion of the inner container with proper tightness by screwing the regulating screw bolt forwardly.
2. The way of screwing the regulating screw bolt of the tightening-up device forwardly to fasten the calorific member or the temperature-control assembly is easier and faster than the way of using iron wires to fasten the calorific member or the temperature-control assembly.
3. The calorific member completely attached on the external wall of the lower portion of the inner container may evenly conduct heat to all the inner container of the stew pot for decocting herbal medicines.
4. The conductive plate will provide the actual heat temperature information of the inner container to the temperature regulating switch so that the temperature regulating switch will sense the present heat temperature and control the ON or OFF movement of the power source lest that members of the stew pot should be destroyed by over heat.
