Abstract

A mounting for synthetic hair replacement, consists of a mesh fabric, which is glued onto the scalp by means of toupet plaster. In order to obtain a good adhesive effect of the mesh fabric with respect to the toupet plaster, an adhesive coating 5 is arranged on the underside of the mesh fabric and extends only on the longitudinal and transverse threads 3, 4 of the mesh fabric, the mesh openings defined between the threads 3, 4 remaining free of adhesive. <IMAGE>

Description

2 21-5 ? 13 3 ? MOUNTING FOR SYNTHETIC HAIR REPLACEMENT This invention
relates to a mounting for synthetic hair replacement, consisting of a mesh fabric, which is glued onto the scalp by means of toupet plaster.
Such a mounting for synthetic hair replacement, consisting of a mesh fabric, is already known, in which the mesh fabric is produced from polyester and silicon material. The mesh fabric itself consists of the mesh elements, running longitudinally and transversely, in which the meshes are rectangular, in the form of perforations or openings. Depending on the construction of the mesh fabric, the meshes may, however, also be hexagonal or octagonal and may assume every possible form.
A mounting for synthetic hair replacement of the above-mentioned type is applied onto the scalp, with toupet plaster being used. The toupet plaster represents the connection between the mesh fabric and the scalp, because the mesh fabric itself does not adhere to the scalp, so that the attachment of the mounting or of the mesh fabric on the scalp is brought about by means of toupet plaster.
However, this type of attachment of the mounting on the scalp can cause problems because the toupet plaster has to be attached to the mounting by means of an adhesion site and the natural appearance of the mounting may be impaired in the region of the adhesion site.
It is therefore an object of the invention to develop an improved mounting for synthetic hair replacement, such that the mounting can be attached to the scalp by means of toupet plaster without an adhesion site which is usually also applied.
According to the invention, provision is made that on the underside of the mesh fabric, an adhesive coating is arranged, in the manner of an adhesion 'agent, in which the mesh openings of the mounting are still continuous and the adhesive coating only extends on the mesh elements running longitudinally or respectively transversely.
The essence of the invention lies accordingly in that the underside of the mounting or mesh fabric on the underside is made adherent for toupet plaster, in which an adhesive coating is applied onto the underside of the mesh fabric in the manner of an adhesion agent.
The adhesive coating is only arranged on the mesh elements, running longitudinally or transversely on the underside thereof, so that the mounting as a whole on the underside is now constructed so as to be adherent with respect to the toupet plaster.
In one embodiment, provision is made that the mesh fabric is moistened on the underside with an adhesive and that the mesh openings are blown free with compressed air.
In this embodiment, the underside of the mesh fabric is moistened with adhesive when it is in fluid state and during the drying process, compressed air is blown onto the mounting, so that the mesh openings themselves are free of adhesive and have a perforation in a manner known per se.
In a further advantageous embodiment, the mesh fabric may be moistened on the underside several times with highly diluted adhesive, in which the mesh openings remain free of adhesive.
In this embodiment, the additional removal or freeing of the mesh openings is superfluous, because adhesive is used in a highly diluted state, which in this way only adheres to the mesh elements running transversely or longitudinally.
A further advantageous embodiment makes provisions that the mesh fabric has an adhesive on the underside and that the mesh openings are opened by a laser-be'a-m-.-,,, In this embodiment, firstly..-"the mounting is moistened completely with adhesives on the underside, or an 0.
adhesive is applied there, and subsequently the mesh openings are opened point by point by means of-radiation 1.11 I_ via a laser beam.
A further advantageous embodiment makes provision that on the underside of the mesh fabric an adhesive layer is arranged and that the perforations are punched free by a punching device.
In this embodiment, the underside of the mounting is firstly provided with an adhesive layer over its entire surface, and only subsequently are the perforations punched out with a punching device, so that in this way the adhesive layer only remains on the mesh elements which run transversely and longitudinally, whereas the mesh openings themselves are free of adhesive.
A further embodiment makes provision that a perforated polyurethane fabric with the same mesh gauge as the fabric of the mounting is coated onto the underside of the mounting.
In this embodiment, a polyurethane fabric is applied and secured from below, as it were congruently, onto the mesh fabric of the mounting, in which the mesh openings themselves are continuous in a manner known per se.
The polyurethane fabric adheres on the polyester or silicon fabric of the mounting and in this manner produces the adhesion agent between the mounting and the toupet plaster.
In a further embodiment, the mesh fabric of.the mounting consists of a polyurethane-coated thread or a siliconised thread.
In this embodiment, the mounting itself is produced from a polyurethanecoated thread or from a siliconised thread, in which the polyurethane or the specifically prepared silicon material represents the adhesion agent between the toupet plaster.
The mounting itself, consisting of the polyester material or the like, is only poorly adherent with respect to the toupet plaster, and an adherent or cohesive -4 connection between the toupet plaster and the mounting is only brought about with the coating of the individual threads of the mounting with the polyurethane or silicon material.
The invention will be described by way of examples with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:- Fig. 1 shows a diagrammatic representation of a cut-out of a mounting consisting of mesh fabric; and Fig. 2 shows a cross-section according to Figure 1 in an enlarged representation, in which the longitudinal and transverse threads of the mounting have an adhesive coating on the underside.
In Figure 1 a mounting 1 is illustrated in the manner of a cut-out, which mounting consists of a mesh fabric having individual mesh elements 2. The mounting 1 has longitudinal threads 3 and transverse threads 4, running longitudinally and transversely respectively, which are connected to each other in a manner known per se.
in Figure 2 it can be seen that an adhesive coating 5 is applied on the underside of the threads longitudinaly or transverse 3,4. The adhesive coating 5 is applied onto the underside of the threads 3,4 in such a manner that the mesh openings or perforations of the meshes are themselves free of adhesive and in this way the "breathing" of the mounting is ensured.
The adhesive coating 5 may be applied such that the underside of the mounting 1 is moistened with adhesive and that subsequently the mesh openings are blown free by means of compressed air.
In another embodiment, the adhesive layer 5 is moistened several times by means of highly diluted adhesive, so that only the threads 3,4 running longitudinally and transversely on the underside are moistened and the mesh openings themselves remain free of adhesive.
In another embodiment, the underside of themount- A e.
4 ing is moistened with the adhesive over the entire surface and the mesh openings are subsequently opened point by point by means of a laser beam.
In a further embodiment, provision is made that the adhesive layer 5, which is initially applied over the entire surface on the underside of the mounting. is subsequently provided with perforations by means of a punching device, in order to re-obtain the openings of the mesh, known per se, in this way.
In a further embodiment, a polyurethane fabric is laminated or glued as adhesive coating 5 onto the underside of the mounting, congruently with respect to the longitudinal and transverse threads 3,4.
Finally, in a further embodiment, provision is made that the mesh fabric of the mounting is formed from a thread coated with polyurethane or from a siliconised thread, so that in this way the mesh openings themselves are free of adhesive and only the longitudinal and transverse threads 3,4 are surrounded by polyurethane or siliconised material and in this way the adhesiveness of the mounting with respect to the toupet plaster is obtained.
