Casings and supports for meters; induction motor meters. -The parts of a singlephase meter are mounted on a single frame which is secured to a base or support having a plate attached by means of which the meter is suspended. The pressure and current magnets e, f, brake magnet p, counting-train i, and pivots k, n for the spindle l are carried by a frame having a vertical portion d and two horizontal portions g, h. This frame is secured by screws or otherwise to the base a, to which is also secured a flanged or dished plate b by which the meter is suspended and which carries the terminals c. The brake magnet p is attached to a plate o, which is adjustable about a pivot o<1> and can be clamped by a fixing-screw o<2>. Compensation at low loads is effected bv a double ring q of sheet metal mounted on the upper horizontal limb and the central core of the pressure magnet e. The resistances of the two parts of the double ring are adjusted by a small slider r. On the centre pole-piece of the pressure magnet is mounted a U-shaped piece s of round copper wire having its circuit closed by a brass plate t. The resistance of this is adjustable by short-circuiting more or less of a slotted portion by a screw carried at the ends of a pivoted arm.
