Abstract
An accident prevention roll-pack comprises a reflective roll-up jacket or vest 10 and warning wand 12 fig. 1 and is used by vehicle owners for their protection and safety in the event of an accident. The reflective roll-pack provides protection for the warning wand when not in use and provides protection for the wearer when worn in use. The complete roll-pack is made easily accessible by means of quick release methods and when removed from its position inside or outside the vehicle it will provide a means of identifying an emergency situation ahead. <IMAGE>
Description
VEHICLE ACCIDENT PREVENTION ROLL-PACK
This invention relates to warning oncoming vehicles of a need to slow down or stop for their own safety and others as an emergency situation is ahead.
There is no means at present to enable a member of the public to warn other vehicle users of an emergency situation. Te method adopted needs to be clear and internationally accepted with a code of practice. It should be encouraged to be carried b all vehicles so that the first person to arrive nt the scene of an accident or breakdown can warn or raise the alarm to oncoming traffic before the emergency services arrive ro ccntrol the emergency situation.
According to the present invention there is providcd a vehicle accident prevention roll-pack comprising a reflective roll-pacLi which is also used as a safety jacket, slip or bib with its own accident warning signs and a special hand held warning wand with an illuminated section in the legally required colours.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanyin- drawing i which Figure 1 shows in perspective the complete vehicle accident
prevention roll-pack in roll-pack form.
Figure 2 shows in perspective the warning wand.
Figure 3 illustrates how the jacket, slip or bit can also be
the roll-pack.
Figure 4 shows the vehicle accident prevent ion roll-pack in
jacket, slip or bib form.
Figure 5 shows some of the possible positions for east access
in an emergency.
Referring to the drawing the vehicle accident prevention rollpack comprises a reflective roll-pac with dual purpose as a jacket, slip, bib or similar article 10 which also provides protection and packaging of the wand 12 which is held together by velcro, clips, magnetic pads or similar device 14.
In order to make the vehicle accident prevention roll-pac immediately available velcro, clips, magnetic pads or similar device 14 is used as shown in fig. 3 and fig. 4.
In order to operate the illuminated section of the wand 18 the wand 12 is fitted with a variable control device 15 as in tig. 2.
In order to provide accessibility a vehicle manufacturer m provide an appropriate external or internal position 16 for immediate access to the vehicle accident prevention roil-pac as in fig. 5.
Claims (7)
1 The vehicle accident prevention roll-pac comprising a reflective roll-pack which is also used as a safety jacket, slip or bib with its own accident warning signs and a special hand held warning wand with an illuminated section in the legally required colours.
2 The vehicle accident prevention roll-pack as claimed in claim 1 wherein the reflective roll-pach is held together and attached or secured by velcro, clips, magnetic pads or an similar device.
3 The vehicle accident prevention roll-pack as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 the reflective roll-pack can also be used as a safety jacket, slip or bib.
4 The vehicle accident prevention roll-pack as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 or claim 3 wherein the reflective roll-pack, jacket, slip or bib can be of varying quality and material including thermal to meet different climates or conditions.
5 The vehicle accident prevention roll-pack as claimed in any preceeding claim wherein the reflective roll-pack, jacket, slip or bib is provided with a warning wand.
6 The vehicle accident prevention roll-pac as claimed in claim 5 wherein the safety wand can be of varying equality material or power supply including solar.
7 The vehicle accident prevention roll-pack as claimed in claim 5 or claim 6 wherein the wand can be illuminated in an agreed sequence of colours and or modes approved bg the appropriate safety organisations varying from country to country.
