Abstract

Trailer coupling means comprises a mounting plate (10) for securing to a drawbar (8) of a trailer vehicle. The drawbar (8) carries a socket hitch (6) with the mounting plate (10) sandwiched therebetween. A winch arrangement is mounted on the mounting plate (10). The winch arrangement has a reel (14) on which a length of cable (16) is wound, the free end of which is provided with a fastening (18) to be engageable over a ball (4) of a ball hitch mounted on a towing vehicle. Means in the form of a cranked handle (22) is provided for operating the winch arrangement. <IMAGE>
