According to the present invention there is provided a game comprising a jigsaw puzzle which can be assembled to show a scene and an aid to the assembly of the puzzle, anii characterised in that the aid comprises a picture of the same scene as the puzzle but either viewed from a different angle or varied by the alteration of certain features.

Preferably also, more than one aid is provided. For example, two aid pictures could be provided both showing the same scene from 60 and 1200 angles.
referably also, tne jigsaw puzzle comprises two pictures one on each side thereof the second picture being a picture of the same scene as the first picture but viewed from a different angle. in this case, the second picture can be the same picture as the aid picture or not, as desired. Alternatively, the second picture is a picture of the same scene as the first picture but with significant features thereof altered.
The jigsaw puzzle of the game can be made In a conventional manner by mounting a picture on cardboard and either stamping or cutting out a large number of pieces.
The pieces can D irreylziar.y shaped, as in a conventional jigsaw, or be a regular or a symmetrical shape depending on the degree or difficulty to be imparted to the game and on its subject matter.
it the puzzle comprises two pictures mounted on opposing sides of he pierce of cardboard, then the pieces of the puzzle should b die-cut so that it is not obvious to the player which way round the pieces are to be laid
for each picture.
.n example of a scene suitable for reproduction on a jigsaw puzzle with a lSOC angle scene suitable for supply as the aid picture is shown in the accompanying drawings.
Here, Figure 1 shows a graveyard scene with a rear view of a vampire and is suitable for use as an aid picture, whereas Figure 2 showing the same scene but from the front of the vampire, thus revealing its identity, is suitable for use as the puzzle itself.
It will be appreciated that when the pictures are drawings as opposed to being photographs, more or less assistance can be given to the player by the inclusion of familiar and similar buildings and landmarks in approximately the same positions in both scenes. For example, in Figures 1 and 2, Big Ben and a tower of Tower
Bridge are located in approximately the same position in the pictures. if photographs are used, then it is advantageous if some features can appear in both pictures without substantial alteration or altered only in a predictable way.
with "before" and "after" pictures, the use o photographs is more appropriate. For example. the aid could comprise a picture of a field and the jigsaw could show the same field after erection of a building.
Alternatively, for example, the jigsaw could show a renovated building and the aid show the building before renovation.
t is also envisaged that the game could be used as a means f advertising or as promotional material. "before' and "after" pictures being the most suitable for this.
he game can be made as difficult or as easy as desired both by the choice of scenes and by the number of pieces into which the jigsaw is cut. In this way it can b aimed at players of all ages and intellectual capazities.
